As a Texan riding in triple-digit heat and high humidity, my riding puts a high demand on moisture management. If I'm honest, I usually skip the base layer on my rides to minimize the amount of material between my skin and the air during the summer. Sweat just doesn't evaporate here very well even with wicking fabrics. That being said, I wanted to try this out for when I travel out of this climate and head to the mountains. I'm glad I did! The material feels great against the skin. It's super soft and light! I tried it under the Equipe RS jersey in the heat and it definitely did it's job! I could tell it was working hard to transport as much moisture away from my skin as possible. In the humidity, I can't say that it kept me dry, but it helped. Then, I took it to the mountains. In air with less humidity, this skin layer works amazingly well! Even with it still hot, this seemed to supercharge the evaporative cooling effect. I loved it! I would size down next time though. Mine fits well under a MTB jersey, but under my road kit like the Equipe RS jersey, it fits a tiny bit looser than the jersey in the same size. The small would fit me better under my medium size jersey.
