Sunday best.

Of a sunny, bright Sunday morning, you can usually be found on your regular ride, spinning smoothly along neighborhood roads. If not on your regular loop, you're most certainly at one of two local haunts, either your favorite deli or café, sipping espresso at either locale. You'd never dream of logging miles dressed in anything but your best, so this season, complete your new Assos Mille kit with the matching Millecap_evo8. Breathable and light, the cap will shield your eyes on your rides while loyally concealing helmet hair as you enjoy the sun with a post-ride flat white.

  • Complete your Sunday best with this classic cycling cap
  • Based on the design of the Assos éxploitCap

Mille Cap's Confusing Design Concept

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

I have numerous Assos products as I have always found them to be top shelf kit. Well designed and well constructed with leading materials. However, the design and construction of the Mille Cap is confusing. To begin, the bill of the cap is only 4.6 inches wide - too narrow to effectively block the morning sun. Not to mention not very fashionable, but that is secondary to me. The biggest question I have is why employ a windproof, non-breathable fabric on the top of the cap with highly perforated side panels? While the quality and fit of the cap are as you would expect with Assos, this hat would not suit me in the summer when I need a breathable, sun shielding lid, nor in the winter when I need more cranial thermal protection.
