Don't sacrifice chamois preference for warmth.
For the all-season, cross-training woman, Assos has created a version of the popular LL.HaBu Bib Tights without a chamois. The result is a pair of bottoms that cycle through your many cold-weather sporting disciplines in temperatures ranging from 42-54 degrees Fahrenheit. As with all Assos kit, the LL.HaBu Bib Tights undergo an alarmingly involved construction process. Six different fabrics are arranged in fourteen panels in order to provide the most anatomic fit possible while situating each material in an area that maximizes its benefits in the saddle.
The LL.HaBu Bib Tights are mostly made from RX fabric, which is a brushed, insulating material that wicks moisture away from your skin to keep you warm and dry, even under hard winter efforts. RX's insulating powers are further improved with strategic panels of RXQ, whose 3D air channels mimic materials like Merino wool to create pockets of trapped air with minimal volume. Both RX and RXQ have an accommodating four-way stretch to move with you in the saddle. Stretchy, sleek, warm, and dry? Yes, please.
These tights also have the added bonus of being chamois-free. If you're anything like us, you've run through five, six, or even upwards of a dozen different inserts for your summer shorts, so you know exactly what you want between you and the saddle. The chamois-less LL.HaBu Bib Tights let you use that chamois underneath them while still enjoying the benefits of the exclusive fit, fabric, and construction of Assos winter gear. They feature less protection on the thighs than the LL.HaBus that include a chamois, so you can wear an extra layer underneath without overheating. If you prefer a chamois-free ride altogether, they offer that, too. Either way, these tights let you customize your comfort on cold-weather rides meant to maintain form through fall and winter or start rebuilding a base in spring.
