The men's ClimaJacketMilleGT from Assos fits the bill nicely and comes along on many of our spring and fall rides. Assos developed the jacket using a proprietary water-repellent and windproof NoFrost fabric allowing it to be lightweight, protective, and like the rest of the Mille GT lineup, moderately priced. It's ultra-packable, so it's great for starting off rides chilly rides and putting it in the back pocket as we warm up, or just stowing it back there and on the ready, if the skies do open up. Sens Classic Tex, which is a lightweight, stretchy material is utilized on the side panels and praised for its low volume, excellent range of motion, and support. Its kept bulk-free and low volume by using minimal panels, seams, and forgoes pockets, but does come with the intelligent pocket slots for easy access to your jersey pockets as well as adding additional ventilation. The dual-layer collar construction keeps rain out and achieves an improved fit for comfort around the neck while the visibility-enhancing side panels help you remain noticeable to motorists in low light conditions.

Assos recommends using this jacket over a Mille GT summer jersey as an outer shell with armWarmers on warmer rides or over a Mille GT tiburu gilet in cooler conditions. Anytime there are threatening skies, it can be used as a windproof and waterproof emergency layer. Since it's cut in its regularFit, it easily fits over layers and is body mapped so you get excellent coverage on the bike and with its rustle-free fabric, minimal flapping in the wind. Finally, it's treated with a Durable Water Repellency treatment so the jacket refuses to soak up any water.
