Times have changed.

You used to run in the lightest, softest, and overall comfiest shoes you could find, which worked out okay when you ran sporadically and raced only when you were coerced. But things have changed. You've got two half marathons and a smattering of local races spread out over your calendar this year, so save your ultralight kicks for your cross-training days and grab the Adidas Women's Pureboost Xpose Running Shoes when you need something that will support your feet for the long haul.

Built with Adidas' now ubiquitous Boost cushioning, the Xpose looks a lot like the rest of the brand's line. The big feature that sets it apart from its other lightweight, breathable, and highly cushioned siblings is an internal floating arch. Sitting inside the shoe, the arch adapts to the shape of your own arch to provide extra support with each step. In shoes with flexible uppers and soft midsoles, stability is often compromised, and this feature gives the Xpose a leg up over other Adidas options when you have high-mileage weeks to think about. On the outside of the shoe, a durable rubber tread and plush-but-responsive Boost midsole give the Xpose the ability to keep up with your busier-by-the-day race calendar.

  • Put in the work for a season of racing in this capable shoe
  • Uniform midsole suits neutral runners best
  • Internal floating arch adds support over longer runs
  • Stretchy air mesh uppers allow for continuous ventilation
  • Boost cushioning provides a responsive-but-plush ride
  • Durable StretchWeb rubber outsole improves shoe's durability

Amazing Shoe!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm about to order another pair in another color, so I can wear these every day! By far the most comfortable shoes I own. Like other reviewers I have high arches and have struggled lately with plantar fasciaitis so there aren't many of my shoes I can wear right now pain-free. This is definitely one of them -- LOVE the floating arch that feels like absolutely nothing else out there. Great for travel, good for running (the little I can do now) and great for the gym (except maybe anything requiring a lot of side-to-side motion, there's some slip there).

Light and just enough support

My foot shape is narrow in the midfoot, slightly wider in the toe box, with a very high arch. I typically love the Mizuno Hitogami, but can't find the new model. In the past Adidas' boost foam was too soft and squishy and didn't have the spring back that their shoes from 5-6 years ago had. While these are still slightly soft, they do have more response than many of the other lightweight/performance shoes I've tried on lately. I'd wear these for a run up to 10 miles or for the gym. I have used them for running, commuting by foot to work walking (4 miles), and doing gym exercises. They are also pretty cute (got the tactile green colorway), and look better with jeans than a lot of trainers do. Highly recommend.

Perfect Gym Shoe

This is my favorite gym shoe! If you're looking for an all around work out shoe, this is a great option! I wear it for short runs, on the elliptical and I love the flexibility for circuits and weight training. The cushioning is super comfy too. I have really bad plantar fasciitis and I slightly over pronate so I wouldn't wear this as my daily running shoe but I have worn it on 2-3 mile runs and haven't had any pain. Because it's such a flexible shoe, I don't want to risk running more than that. But, I've worn it for up to an hour and a half on the elliptical and I absolutely love it for all gym activities. The boost foam feels great for jumping exercises like box jumps or jump roping because it really absorbs the impact for you.

Super comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I got these shoes because my Nike free's had been in need of retirement for a while now and I loved the lightweight design of these. I always said I wish that Adidas made something like this for men, they never did, so I just bought the women's, and no one's the wiser. I love how comfy the boos foam is, and the separated arch gives a sock like feel. They are super breathable. Not the most supportive shoe out there so not a high mileage running shoe, but a great lightweight, knock around sneaker for sure! I love em!

Arch love!

WOW! These shoes are dreamy! I thought I had my perfect running shoe, and I was wrong! I have found new favorites. The Pureboost hug my arch like I have never had before. I have a high arch so I have always struggled with the right kind of support without having a chunky cushion. I highly recommend snatching a pair of these while you can. It makes running feel easy, like you are running on a cloud. Let me know if you need help with sizing.

I bought these shoes for my sister as a gift and she hasn't stopped raving about them. Here are her thoughts -

By far the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. They are true to size and provide amazing support. I want them in every color.

These are very cool looking, very comfortable sneakers. I got them to use at the gym and actually have ended up wearing them more as casual sneakers at the office. They are made of super stretchy fabric and are very easy to slip on and off
