Bottom Bracket Socket
The Abbey Bike Tools Dual Sided Dura Ace & Ultegra Bottom Bracket Socket makes working on your bottom bracket a breeze. Made from precisely machined and hard anodized 7075 aluminum billets, this bottom bracket socket is compatible with Shimano DA-9000/XTRBB93 and Ultegra BBR60 bottom brackets. Its unique inner nub provides an extra point of contact to keep the tool in place when cups get stubborn, while a long-lasting finish and exacting tolerances ensure cups aren’t marred during installation or removal.
To assist with finding the proper torque, Abbey Bike Tools laser etches recommended specs in both Nm and ft/lb. They also apply labels for each side's application, and machined recesses along the outside assist with grip to avoid crossing when initially threading the cups.

High quality tools for working on your bike. It comes across in the details and in the aesthetics as you open your tool kit. I toss this in my portable toolbox and it’s easy to connect to my torque wrench to always get the BB swapped out and set up just right

Dumb question, but I'm assuming this will also fit the newer 105 (7000 series) and Ultegra (8000) series, too? Perhaps an older Ultegra 6700? I couldn't find anything on Abbey's site and I service a few bikes that are as old as 6700 and as new as 8000. Thanks.

Astute website goers here may notice that I review everything Abbey 5 stars, but it is for a reason. These are the best bike specific tools on the market. Being a mechanic with over 10 years experience, I want tools that are going to work and work forever. This socket makes installing the smaller diameter BB cups from shimano easier and faster than using the adapter, plus it has a 3/8" drive socket so if you want to throw a torque wrench on it you can.

Bottom bracket standards are always changing and then the tool becomes obsolete. It does look like a piece of art.

Fantastic

If you are installing a bb that uses this tool it is a must have. Easy to use and works great. Turned an hour of struggling with a Shimano adapter (not needed here) and other tools into a 30 second easy activity. Abbey tools are a bit costly but I'm sold.

It will work with the 7000 and 8000 series as well, however the 6700 series you would have to use this socket: https://www.competitivecyclist.com/abbey-bike-tools-bottom-bracket-socket-single-sided
