Description

Sam Hill Lite Knee Pads

The Sam Hill Lite Knee Pads are an ultra-light knee pad for trail riding and enduro racing, offering breathable comfort and lightweight protection that won't hold you back during big days in challenging terrain. Thanks to critical feedback from the reigning Enduro World Series champ, the knee pads feature a compression sleeve that sits higher up on the thigh than other designs, working with the internal silicone strip to ensure they won't slide down when you're halfway through a 10-minute stage full of chunky rock gardens and chattery brake bumps. The sleeve material is a breathable rip-stop spandex that provides substantial airflow and a comfortable fit, and prevents them from getting shredded in a crash.

  • Ultra-lightweight knee pads for trail riding and enduro
  • Designed with feedback from the legend himself
  • Compression sleeve sits higher up on the leg to prevent slipping
  • Knee pads mold with body heat for maximum comfort
  • Articulated design for a comfortable fit while pedaling
  • Breathable sleeve wicks away sweat to keep you dry
  • Ripstop material resists tearing and abrasion in a crash

Enough protection and comfortable. Only thing it should have is some sort of silicone on the interior near thigh to help stay up.

The Best Trail Pads $ can buy

I had been riding the Fox Launch enduro knee pad for years and I was due for a new set. I am going to be honest here, there are lots of 90°+ Summer days that I just wouldn't bother with knee pads because the neoprene or whatever the fox pads use is just too hot around my entire knee. I picked up the Pearl Izumi "Summit" knee guards because of two things, 1. they are much thinner and more breathable material, and 2. D30 padding, which is flexible and then hardens on impact. The overall material breathed much better, but the D30 padding was incredibly hot, it did not let any heat escape my knees, so even though the overall pad was much more breathable, the D30 padding was very much not. So I snagged a pair of these Sam Hill Lite knee pads. They are amazing! The padding is better at absorbing impacts than the padding Fox uses in the Enduro Knee pads, but not quite as burley as the D30 padding used in the Pearl pads. But the entire knee pad breathes so very well, I now own a set of knee pads that are perfect for general trail riding in the summertime. Fit is True to size Super Breathable Good Protection for Trail riding, I do a handful of shuttle runs and resort days each year and I snagged a set of 7protection Sam Hill Knee pads for those days because I was so impressed with these Sam Hill Lite pads. These Sam Hill Lite pads are lighter duty and more flexible than the Transition Knee Pads and in my opinion the best pad option for hot weather rides and long days in the saddle.

These knee pads are perfect for a little added confidence on hucks and steep rollers in your local trails. While they are not robust enough for the most rigorous trails, these are the perfect fit for bashy cross country riders and average enduro riding. I've worn them for many hours in 90-100F degree Northeast humidity and they don't budge even after an entire day of riding. They are snug in all the ways you want them to be, without being painful or in the way. Highly recommend for the hill climbers!

Great knee pads

I’ve worn these on my local trails around Minnesota and on a recent trip to northwest Arkansas. I was looking for simple lightweight protection and that’s exactly what I got. They never slipped down or moved while riding and even on 95 degree days i didn’t mind wearing them or find them to be overly hot.
