What lies before you could be the most advanced tri suit on the market, and not surprisingly, it was created by Zoot. The Ultra Tri Racesuit has been designed to account for every variable of a triathlon, and as you know, these are plentiful. Accordingly, each of the three fabrics place an emphasis on reducing fatigue, supporting the muscles, and maintaining a cool body temperature. As a result, you gain results. It's really that easy.

Starting with the bulk of the Ultra Tri Racesuit's construction, Zoot used its venerable ULTRApowertek with Coldblack fabric. We'll break this title down into two categories, given that ULTRApowertek is the fabric and that Coldblack is the treatment. So, starting with the former, this material was implemented for its supportive knit structure. Featuring a compressive fiber weight and structured knit, ULTRApowertek is supports the muscle groups without a feeling a constriction. Accordingly, by lessening the fatigue-inducing effects of road vibration and run impact, you're able to retain a higher threshold throughout the land legs of your race. Additionally, this fabric is highly breathable and it also efficiently manages moisture. However, with the Coldblack treatment, this is less of a necessity than with a 'traditional' spandex composition. This is because Coldblack technology deflects the sun's rays with more efficiency then that of light-colored fabrics. As a result, Coldblack retains a fabric temperature that's nine-degrees cooler than traditional fabrics. So, you remain cooler over the course of the race, equating to a lower core temperature no matter how hot it is.

Moving on to the other panels of the Ultra, it becomes clear that Zoot thought of everything. You'll find that it installed ULTRAcarbon anti-friction panels at high points of abrasion like the inner-thigh and seat panels. Why carbon? Well, because it possesses natural anti-static properties. Additionally, it also has a low moisture-absorption rate, which results in a consistent level of dryness at points of the body that can't afford to remain wet. The carbon was also integrated at the fiber level for its natural resistance to temperature spikes. So, much like Coldblack, your core temperature remains consistently cooler, resulting in a lower heart rate, and thus a higher threshold.

Zoot's ULTRAcarbon BIOwrap is orientated as a proprioception panel with a 240 denier spandex composition. Those are some big words, we know, so let's break them down. Starting with 'proprioception panel,' this means that the panel is designed to account for the sensations that are enacted from within the body itself. Everyone has what are called 'proprioceptors.' These are cells and nerves that emit stimuli to account for your body's position in movement. Or, in more basic terms, think of balance. Your unconscious sensory correction of staying upright is attributable to these cells. And when you're body is performing repetitive, practiced movements, their impact on the required muscle groups also become predictable. So, the BIOwrap design uses specific paneling to account for your body's internal movements. Even more impressively, over time, this localized support will train your muscle's non-visual sensory movements, and accordingly, it will enhance your body's proprioception.

In terms of fit, the Ultra Racesuit is cut with racing in mind. To achieve this, Zoot incorporated a nine-inch inseam and its proprietary stitching, SeamLink. This technique minimizes the stitch profile along the seams, providing a next-to-skin fit that nearly eliminates the risk of chafing and abrasion. Additionally, you'll find that the arm openings are inset as to permit a complete range of motion for the swim, the saddle, and the run.

Furthering this level of comfort, Zoot included its Integra SBR 2D chamois. This insert features a minimalist construction as to provide enough support for the bike leg without inhibiting comfort in either the swim or run. And because of the swim, Zoot also designed the Integra to be water-resistant and quick-drying. So, you won't be racing soggy after T1.

The Zoot Ultra Tri Racesuit is available in four sizes from Small to X-Large and in the color Black/black/white. Please note that this suit is approved by USAT and features a UPF 50+ level of protection.
