Sized Very Small
I had to return the XXL version it was about a 36" this is much smaller than their sizing chart said.
What is waist size M equivalent in inches?...
What is waist size M equivalent in inches? Has anyone tried them on? I am generally size 29-30"
Very nice, good quality knickers. Wore them for the first time on a six day tour of the Pacific Coast and didn't want to take them off. The fit is a little snug. I usually wear a medium shorts and bought the large because of the previous reviews and they fit perfectly. I'm 5'9", 170, 33/34 waist. I'm not crazy about the lliner, as it doesn't feel as snug as other typical cycling shorts but the pad was quality. I usually wear my regular cycling shorts as a liner instead of the one that came with the knickers.
Super comfortable. Good fit. Warm and did not tear while falling down the trail. Highly recommend to anyone looking for knickers.
Sizing a bit off, but great knickers otherwise
Previous reviewer noted that the size was off - my Large also are a bit tight (knickers themselves are OK on their own, but the liner is a bit tight - but still wearable. I usually wear either M or L.) But I want to also note that those are a very well made piece of kit - good fit (not constrictive, even though they're not oversized on me), lots of pockets, durable fabric that feels nice, look good enough to wear around town and the office (well, my office at least... My 13 year-old has even been stealin' em off, the rascal: nice endorsement, though. ) I _really_ like that the liner is removable: you can toss it in the wash after a ride w/out washing the whole knickers if they're not funky yet.
Sizing Way Off
Beware!!! These are sized for munchkins. I normally wear pants size 42W, so I first ordered these cycling knickers in XXL. When they arrived I could barely pull them up over my hips. So, I re-ordered in XXXL and these barely feel any different than the XXL's. I'm still 3" away from being able to even snap them at the waist. And these are suppose to be XXXL? I'll be contacting backcountry for a return shipping mailer because after paying $6.00 to return the first pair, there is no way I'm spending another $6.00 (for a total of $12) to return pants that weren't true to size.
If you order these, I recommend ordering two sizes larger than normal.
