Description

Freshen up your kit without killing your cash flow.

There's no need to raid the rainy-day fund to buy a new pair of bib shorts. Don't worry, we're not saying you can't have any, we're just suggesting that you check out the Zero RH+ Men's Prime Bib Short instead of that pricey pair you were considering. This bib features much of the same tech as you'll find on higher-priced products from this Italian brand, like a pre-formed anatomic fit that is designed to fit just right when you're bent over the bars in the riding position.

  • Saturn chamois features targeted padding and a central pressure-relieving channel for comfort on 3 to 4-hour rides
  • Firedry fabric breathes and wicks for efficient temperature control
  • Mesh braces lie comfortably on your torso without pulling
  • Grip Fit silicone-free hems keep the short in place without irritating sensitive skin
  • High-visibility reflective hits ensure you don't fade into the background in low light
  • Unlike other Zero RH+ apparel, this bib short runs true to size
  • Real Cyclist is the exclusive US retailer for Zero RH+ products

Final thoughts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had these for a while now, and have used them a fair amount. The issues i stated before are still there. for a man, you do not want these. It is the most uncomfortable bibs i have ever worn hand down. you will have to adjust your area practically the entire ride. i figured they would break down over time with use and washing them, but nada. I can not take it anymore and will be returning them!
Trust me you do not want these, your boys do not deserve that kind of abuse. lol

initial impresson

at first glance,
i tried them on as soon as i opened them up, and i am iffy about them. they look and fit my body great, very soft, and like i said fit the body great i have a weird body, a long torso and short legs so things like bibs do not always fit right, and these fit perfect.
the only downside i see so far, which may or may not make or break the deal for me, is in the crotch. the padding comes up exceptionally high over your BOYS and just wearing it for the first time, it is really uncomfortable in that area. it seriously creates this almost camel toe effect on your boys, and maybe this is just because it brand new, so ill wash them and maybe give them a ride and see if the pad kinda breaks down to where it is not bothering me. but weird.
I guess i will let you all know pretty soon if they are any good.

Never needed to size up in shorts before...

I'm going to rate these as pretty darn good. i've got the "Legend" bibs in Medium, and I got these Prime bibs in size large. I normally wear a Medium and can squeeze into small shorts/bibs if needed, but these were the first riding shorts I've had where I needed to size up. The Legend shorts in Medium fit well everywhere except the crotch, where your genitalia is smashed down into a compact, irritating, acorn-smashing package. Sizing up to a large made the crotch area actually fit, and the material is not loose anywhere else. Material feels like good quality. The leg length on both sizes is not near the knees like most shorts, the inseam is a bit shorter, but not enough to look strange. I am 5'6 165lb for reference.

Most Painful Bib Tried

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Figured I would give these bib shorts a shot as they were priced well below other bibs. I used them once for mountain biking on a WTB saddle (much more cushion than my road saddle) and could not wait to get off the bike due to the pain and discomfort of the pad in these. Mountain biking is much more forgiving on the quality of pad you choose for your bib, but even these failed horribly. Spend a little extra $$ and get A LOT in return for your hard-earned money.

Decent for the price

I got these because the price was right. I haven't put them through too many miles yet though, and they're already showing more wear than I would have hoped from the saddle. The chamois is real comfy on mid-distance rides. Done up to about 50 mi in them. Even when its hot out, there's no chafing. Another con is that, even though the straps are made of mesh, they can get a bit hot at times.

Very good - with one recommendation

I bought a pair of these for a couple of reasons: First, I wanted a pair of white bibs (it gets REAL hot here in the Lou); and second, I wanted to try what appears to be a "house brand". First ride was a 50 miler on the Katy trail, and I have to say I was very pleased. Riding comfort is excellent. Size is true, so at least for me, no Euro upsize. The only change I would make is in the chamois. The design creates a pronounced camel toe effect that can be a little disconcerting. For me a greater issue is the short front to the chamois. Adding a little more height would make the shorts a little less, shall we say revealing. Beyond that, they are very good, and the sale price in my opinion made for a great value.
