What community has to say
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I am 6'1 @ 180lbs (wear a size 34 in jeans) and I got the XL.
Initially I felt the straps were a bit short while standing but once on the bike this was not an issue, frankly after the first ride this became a non issue while standing either. The bibs are very light and at first I felt like I was riding naked! All and all a great pair for a great price.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
comfortable and light. the only problem i ran into was that i too feel as though the suspenders were too tight and made for somebody shorter. if i could do it again i would get a larger size and hope it didn't feel like it was pushing so hard on my shoulders
Go a size bigger than normal
I'd have to disagree with the statement that these bibs run close to US sizing. I've worn them 3 times now and although I got them in the same Small size as my other nicely-fitting bibs from Capo and Pactimo, they are much, much smaller than those. You definitely have to order one size larger than normal with these. I've had quite a bit of discomfort in the groin from these bibs pulling too tightly. It's not the width of the leg, etc. that's too small--it's just the length from straps to the leg opening.
Other than that, they're good bibs and I wish I had gotten a Medium. I was just a bit misled by the suggested sizing.
Comfortable, but already falling apart
Great fit, but they are already wearing on the inner thighs and the bib portion elastic is already separating (after about 300mi of riding).
awesome for the price
I got these a few days ago and have ridden 80 miles in them so far. I got my pb time in them. Due to being so light weight you don't even realize your wearing them. very comfortable and perfect compression on the legs. great protection for the jewels and bum....no soreness at all after riding. I like them better than my Santini bibs. Get a pair you'll love em!! you're bum will thank you!!
I just got these and have only done a 35 and a 20 mile ride in them as of yet, normally I like to get more miles in to judge the chamois of shorts. Anyways, the chamois feels good and somewhat firm which I am a fan of, and I did not feel like it was positioned awkwardly as the other reviewer did. I got a size medium in the black/white (and red side accents), and it fits me well at 5'6, 170lb. I had no trouble with the straps coming out of place, and the suspender straps felt like they fit me "right in the middle" - as if i could be a bit shorter or taller and they still would keep the shorts and chamois positioned well. Quality feels like normal rh+, and I have to admit that I am a pretty big fan of the brand's materials - always feels like quality.
Visually, a very nice bib short. Bought the black/white one with some red on the side. For my size, 6', 180lbs, 33"w, 25" thighs, figured the XL would be good. Large might have been better since it seems to run more to US sizing. Chamois is situated and stitched too far back. Does not give proper support towards the front. Without being crude, need to adjust so no damage is done. The Bib is ok for short rides but would not recommend for longer ones. Bands have no gripping so the shorts easily slide up. Perhaps I should have bought a large so that the thighs would have been more snug but that would have probably made the next issue more of a problem. Have no issue with the straps in terms of comfort. However, they are too short! This ends up pulling up the shorts higher, giving discomfort in the groan area. I do not have a long upper body so this should not happen. Once you start riding, wearing the bib is ok but it should be comfortable before you get on the bike.
