Great video! Cycling is definitely a lifetime sport; my dad is 65, a 47-year rider and still does 30 miles every morning. Keep it going!

how can I get a hold of the mashups that were featured on that youtube video? and oh yes, the riding looks only mildly epic. happy 40th--

February 21, 2011

Happy Birthday! I can only hope my 40th will be as awesome. The music is Girl Talk. It's definitely made for white people in their 30's, and completely appropriate. Also, great trainer music, it's like a single, 90 minute track with slowly ramping tempo

Been there, done that. Err...turning 40, that is . Thx for sharing and happy birthday! 'Xavier': what an absolutely inappropriate and asinine comment. Honestly, give your life some meaning and hang yourself.

Two comments: 1) The music was appropriate because . . . . ???? 2) I ride with an 80 year old who could kick your ass. He's a former pro. He didn't worry when he turned 40. Grow up.

Nice work. I'm just back from a snowboarding trip to Japan to celebrate a mate's 40th. Thinking of taking my bike back to the Alps for mine next year.

Nicely done with the video. Who says at 40 you still can't play games (at the town line)? Video camera? Video camera mount?
- Bruce, Acton, MA

Clearly, for anyone who loves riding, you're livin the life. But I'm more impressed by your appreciation for what you've got. Happy Birthday.

Amazing. That descent with the rocks all over the road looks terrifying. How cold (or warm) was it?

Forty and living life to the fullest. Clearly, you are doing it right. Thanks for sharing the video and these photos. They were infinitely more compelling and ride-inspiring than yet another virtual "factory tour".

I was there once, 11 years ago on my honeymoon. That was long before I owned a bike and it was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen.
