PRODUCT RECALL
LOOK KēO Bicycle Pedals
Look KēO Classic, Sprint, Carbon and HM with production date codes December 2005 or earlier (Carbon Ti, HM Ti and other Look pedals are not affected).
The axle can crack and break, posing a fall hazard. These pedals comply with CPSC and other applicable standards, but Look is recalling them voluntarily to replace the axles with a current model.
The production date code for KēO Classic, Sprint and Carbon pedals is molded into the bottom of the pedal body as shown in the photos below (the date shown is November 2005) (click the photos for a larger view):
The date code on HM pedals consists of a letter (A through L) on one side on the bottom of the pedal body that represents the month, and a single number on the other side that represents the year, so that “L” and “5” on the pedal means it was produced in December 2005.
