NOTE TO DARIO

Hi Dario, I saw some your frames in person today for the first time, at a local bike shop (International Bicycle Center, Newton, MA, USA). Absolutely stunning. They were sitting among a display of other high end bikes-- Colnago, Cervelo, Merckx, etc-- and the personal touch, blood, sweat, & tears evident in the craftsmanship & the paint really made them stand out, even amongst that company. Best wishes and hope you are in good health.

Geoff Nosker, Boston, MA

Hi Dario,I've admired your beautiful bikes & artwork for years & finally, at nearly 60 years old & a lifetime of cycling behind me & nothing left to prove,(well-not much- the odd sprint perhaps :-) I'm going into Mosquito bikes to order a Marcelo. I cant imagine anything better than sitting at a cafe table on a Sunday morning admiring your bike, twinkling in the sun, having done a gentle 50 with my old mates, perfect.... All mine & my families best wishes go out to you...

Jon Mousley, Evesham

Dario, I discovered cycling late in life (age 48), but when I did I fell in love. Your amazing bikes help me dream.

Hi Dario, or Senor Pegoretti, Thanks so much for the masterpiece that is the Marcelo (Why Not Blue) you built for me. It is truly a masterpiece of form, and function and gets me excited everytime I ride and look at it. Get well and please continue to create the beauty that is Pegoretti cycles.

Gday Dario, I was told I have Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on 01/2007, I had 4 months of chemo, and now are in remission. :-) You will have good and bad days, but you will get through the otherside. Live slow, ride fast. Carlo

Dario, I have been an avid cyclist for longer than I want to admit. For me it has been more than the excitement of a race and the serenity of the long solo rides it's the appreciation and facination of the bicycle as a machine. Your craftsmanship has always kept your frames on top of my most wanted list. The artistic skill and classic lines with a big heaping of attitude have always made your work stand above all others. Wishing you many warm sunny days and please keep making those frames for us to enjoy. Steven

Dario, Please excuse the English only message. I confess I’m a bike geek with racist tendencies. If it isn’t Italian, it’s ... uh... you know the rest. I thought you might get a kick out of this. It’s a PORTRAIT of my bike done by a local abstract artist named Christopher Griffen. When I met him he just had his bike stolen and I happened to have a Bianchi for sale. A fair exchange I would say. The subject is a 2002 Colnago Dream (named Ernie). I'm coming up to my fifth anniversary of being cancer free. I can say I might know what you are feeling right now. Hang in there... do what the doctors say... read Lance’s book...you know the rest. All the best. Ian Ian.Kirk@sympatico.ca
