ASSOS MEN'S JERSEYS - SHORT SLEEVE
By now, the White Cross of Switzerland is most likely burned into your memory. The reasons for this are simple. With riders like Cancellara and Albasini, Switzerland is routinely dominating the Spring Classics and the Worlds podium. And this isn't even mentioning one of Switzerland's greatest national treasures, Assos. Representing its home and its heritage, Assos created a new generation of its federation line, the ss.equipeSuisse Jersey.
Assos' ss.equipeSuisse jersey is the exact one worn by the Swiss riders at Worlds. The main fabric (you'll find it used on the front panels and arms) is known as 'Type 151,' and it represents Assos' innovation with body temperature regulation. When you're hot, it accelerates moisture transfer away from your skin, directly to the quick-drying surface of the jersey. However, when you cool down, Type 151 slows down that same transfer process in order to use body moisture as a means of retaining warmth -- think in terms of how a wetsuit works. The side panels and armpits are made from an ultralight four-way stretch spandex that allows the jersey to perfectly contour to your body, regardless of how it's angled. So, you'll remain free from any bunching, pinching, or chafing while in the cycling position.
In terms of fit, the ss.equipeSuisse fits in between the ss.Mille and the ss.Uno. So, it doesn't possess the trademark, tight race-fit of Assos, like the ss.13, but the pattern doesn't lead to a fit as relaxed as the ss.Mille, either. Instead, the jersey holds in all of the right places, while still leaving you with some wiggle room.
For on-the-fly heat dumps, Assos included a full-length front zipper. And for storage of ride essentials, the jerseys features three rear pockets, and to house items like your cash or cards, there's also a zippered rear pocket.
The Assos ss.equipeSuisse Jersey is available in one color and in seven sizes from X-Small to TIR.
