If you're a Tranny rider, you have the luxury of making a choice -- to ride gears or to drink beers to ride it as a single-speed. Either way, there needs to be a hanger of some sort to stack against the dropout to create a proper surface for the axle and the QR nut to bite into. The Ibis Tranny comes standard with a hanger suited for mounting a derailleur. This one has no derailleur mount, but is ultimately just as useful. It functions as a bottle opener for post-ride recovery drinks.
