Simply put, we're impressed by the Italian-made, Kask K.50 EVO Team Helmet. For one thing, it provides superior protection -- always our most important consideration. It's also lightweight, well-ventilated, and secured via an intuitive and highly adjustable fit system. So, when you adorn your K.50 EVO with the included, but not attached, Competitive Cyclist logo decals, you can consider them our stamp of approval, in addition to a tasteful decorative upgrade (we admit that's a biased perspective.)
Helmet fit is one thing you'll notice every time you ride. And, if you're like us, you ride a lot, and have plenty of time to notice when things aren't quite right. Kask used its signature Up-N-Down adjustment system in the K.50 EVO. This system adjusts around and cradles the back of your head to fit the helmet to the two planes of your head, instead of a single adjustment to the circumference.
The inner shell of the helmet is made of compressed polystyrene with an in-molded frame. Kask uses an in-mold construction method to combine the polycarbonate shell and the polystyrene inner, which makes for better shock absorption. The strengthened inner frame of the K.50 EVO also serves to keep the entire helmet from breaking into pieces if you do happen to hit the pavement.
The K.50 EVO is equipped with 24 vents throughout the front, sides, and rear to let air flow freely. Although you may not need that much ventilation in the winter, a thin balaclava will fit nicely under the helmet on chilly days.
The hypo-allergenic and washable Coolmax chinstrap won't irritate your skin. You'll find CoolMax in the removable and washable inner padding, as well. The helmet connects with nylon thermo fixed straps and a quick release buckle.
The Kask K.50 EVO Team Competitive Cyclist Helmet is available in the color White and in the sizes Medium and Large. Please note that the Competitive Cyclist logo decals come included, but are not attached to the helmet.
