GORE BIKE WEAR MEN'S SHORTS/BIBS - ROAD
Gore Bike Wear designed its Alp-X line to be packable and compatible -- so multi-day and endurance riders can enjoy a streamlined, functional kit. Take, for example, the Alp-X Plus Shorts. They are skillfully engineered for riders that stack on desert miles and push through quick-changing, mountain weather.
Case in point, in addition to usual mountain bike-specific features, the Alp-X Plus has loops at the waistband for attaching overpants. When that dark cloud haunting the next drainage turns out to be a fast-moving, mercury-dropping hailstorm, pants that let you pedal without a waistband rubbing between a pack and your skin is the preferred coverage.
On the opposite end of the climate spectrum, after a four-hour desert tour enjoying cooling airflow from the Alp-X's zip-adjustable mesh vents, you can remove the liner and air things out for tomorrows ride. Like the outer shorts, the liner attaches via loops, and it is compatible with Gore Bike Wear pants as well as the Alp-X shorts -- helping to eliminate clothing overlap and excess.
This six-panel liner has a Power Man chamois that's optimized for medium to long rides. Its anatomical shape and seamless construction supports without pressure, while the microfiber material ensures rapid drying and wicking properties. A wide, elastic waistband comfortably distributes compression that, in conjunction with gripper hems, holds the liner in position.
As rugged as they are light, the Alp-X's outer shell's nylon and elastane blend is designed for the demands of off-road riding. The panels are cut to promote the fabrics natural stretch for unrestricted movement, and its elastic waistband features double fasteners to ensure a secure fit. There are two front pockets for essentials, and reflective elements provide added safety on low-light pavement sections.
The Gore Bike Ware Alp-X Plus Shorts come in Graphite Grey/Black or Black, and sizes Small through XX-Large.
