Designed for use under mountain bike shorts and baggies, the Yeti Women's Ruby Liner was developed with input from Yeti's pro riders, as well as cues borrowed from other disciplines, like yoga. The combined research has yielded one of the most comfortable liner shorts we've had the pleasure of using and abusing.

The Ruby liner short is made with stretch polyester, which breathes well and pulls moisture away from your skin to keep you dry and comfortable. The three-dimensional Italian chamois absorbs shock and vibration to reduce fatigue and is made with carbon to fight odor  and microbial growth naturally. Yeti developed the chamois using input from its riders for the most comfortable design possible. The wide elastic waistband also increases comfort by spreading the pressure at the waist over a wider area.

The Yeti Women's Ruby Liner Short comes in sizes Large/12-14, Medium/8-10, Small/4-6, and X-Small/0-2. It's available in Turquoise.

Oh so comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I’m new to mountain biking and wasn’t looking forward to having a sore bottom. Thanks to these liners my bottom has stayed relatively sore-free. They do run small. I ordered a small because I wear a size 6, I would be much more comfortable in a medium. I’d size up for comfort. They are a great length and don’t stick out from under my longer shorts. If you wear them under lose long shorts you can’t even tell you’re wearing padded shorts.
I’ve worn them on longer rides of 2+ hours with no discomfort. They protect your bottom and lady parts perfectly. I’d defiantly recommend them to anyone getting into biking, there’s no reason to have a sore bottom!

Oh Ruby! Great liner, runs small

Ordered these and the other reviews are spot on, this liner runs small and has a tight fit on the elastic leg bands at the bottom. I sized up and absolutely love these liners - they are short enough on the leg to go under any short and very comfortable on long rides.

Ruby Liner for the win

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Height: 5' 2"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: medium

The Ruby Liner is lightweight, comfortable and the minimalist chamois is just the right amount of padding for long rides without excessive bunching. I'd give this product four stars, however, it definitely runs small. The yoga style waist line tends to roll down if it's a little on the tight side. It's not a deal breaker, but it's not a highlight either. Going forward, I'll probably order a large.

Ruby Liner is a Gem

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    Size Purchased: Large

I have plenty of great women's specific shorts and bibs for road riding but a decent women's version for MTB without all the extra Lycra is hard to come by. Until now. Finally, a women's liner that doesn't suck. It's comfortable, breathable, and streamlined so it fits under your fave MTB shorts without feeling like a diaper. I was skeptical about the "runs small" sizing recommendations from fellow reviewers but went with their advice and ordered a size large (I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs). I'm glad I did. It fits perfectly. Only complaint is that sometimes the leg bands creep up. Despite that one flaw, you'll love the liner.

My favorite after trying on 8 others

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Yes, these run very small (I'm 5'7" 135, size 4 at the Gap, and the large fits well). BUT, if you are fortunate enough to fit into them, these are soooo comfortable and perform well for what I use them for (1-4 hr enduro style rides). The material is so soft, and the waistband doesn't squeeze your skin/fat when you bend over. I would like them to be a bit longer, but that's my only complaint.

Do you think these could be worn solo if I use for road biking as well as MTB? Or, would you recommend them solely as a liner/base layer?

So the Large came into stock and I picked a pair up. well I guess YETI has changed some of the things on the shorts. The bottom leg bands are not at wide and are now white. I find that they do this Weird roll up. #annoying

I also think they are a shorter as well. Other than that they still run small and the Large fits more comfortable. But since they do the weird roll up I prefer to wear the pair that's a bit to small instead.

So I purchased the Medium thinking, Meh they will stretch I'm sure it will be fine... NOOOO its like I'm poured into them they are very tight in the thigh area! So tight I want a Large but we are sold out of that size at the moment. #thighmuffin is what is going on with these.

Now after that being said.. I still love them and I plan to continue wearing even though they're tight they are not uncomfortable and i dont seem to notice them under my shorts(Baggy shorts).
The padding it great and they are breathable which is a bonus for sure. Also the color is AWESOME! I just wish we had more in stock.

Size up!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

Much like my review of the Yeti Women's Norrie Short, I am going to caution the other lady riders to size up! Seriously!

I am usually always a size small across the board, but needed a medium in these, and they are still pretty darn snug in the thighs. And like I also said in the other review, I am not nearly as big in the quads as some of my other cycling friends. (For reference I am 5'5'', with an athletic build, and about 128 pounds).

That being said, the quality is really nice and they pair well with the Norrie Short.

Great Liner

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Excellent liner. Fits like a glove, stays in place, no riding up or sliding around, legs don't ride up, breathable, comfortable. Fits great with the Norrie short. I am 5'4", 123 #'s, hips measure 34" around widest part & have 20" thigh at highest part. Again, they fit like a glove, meaning tight, but I like the fit. Happy to say my distance on riding has increased :)

Hey, can it ask what size you ordered? It will help me decide how to order.

I am stoked on the color and material of these shorts, but they run very small. I am a standard medium (5'8", 135 pounds) and these are really, really tight around the thighs/quad area. I decided to keep them as they will work as a liner under another short, but if there is any question in your mind, order a size up.

Nice liner shorts

I got these liner shorts to use underneath my baggier mtb shorts and they work great. They are more comfortable than the Dakine liner short mainly because of the thick waistband. They definitely run a little small in the quad area, but it isn't really uncomfortable or noticeable if you have shorts on over them. I tend to wear a size large in mtb shorts and the large fits pretty great.

runs small

I usually wear a small or a medium depending on the brand. I ordered these in a size medium and I could barely get them on. I received them yesterday and I am returning them today. The sizing info provided by yeti is quite vague so I recommend sizing up.
