Description

Free to ride.

If you need coverage and technical features that'll see you through dawn to dark rides, the Yeti Cycles Freeland Shorts are your best friend on the trail. Stash pockets are generous and easy to access while riding, preventing any needless dismounts that'll stall you from covering ground. However, that's from from the extent of Yeti's attention to both detail and quality.

The Freeland shorts are constructed from a tough, yet malleable stretch polyester that facilitates excellent maneuverability around the bike. So, negotiating technical sections of trail is now a far more simplified affair. This characteristic is further enhanced by a rear stretch panel and a wide waistband with both tech webbing and silicone grippers. This system comfortably holds the Freeland in position without inciting the risk of either bunching or pinching.

And when the sun heats things up, you needn't worry, as Yeti took ample measures to keep you cool. The shorts feature zip venting at the thighs and stitched rivet vents to accomplish this goal. Adding to this, the shorts' fabric was selected for its lightweight and breathable characteristics. In terms of pedaling comfort, Yeti enhanced the material by incorporating glide patches that reduce, if not eliminate, irritation. In addition to this, Yeti has also treated the shorts' material with a DWR finish. So, with its added water-repellency, you'll remain protected when the weather changes up on the mountain.

The Freeland is also compatible with Yeti's Liner, which features an Italian-made chamois, for those that need the highest level of long-ride comfort.

The Yeti Cycles Freeland Shorts are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. Please note that Yeti bases its size from the waist. So, a Small is a waist size 30, Medium is a 32, Large is a 34, X-Large is a 36, and XX-Large is a 38.

Great riding short!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Very comfortable, just the right number of pockets, while still venting well! Love having the belt loops for an Arcade belt as well.

Wearing them right now.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second pair. I love em. I really like that they don't come with a liner. That way I don't pay for a liner that I'm not going to use. If you wear a liner you can buy the one you like and not be locked into the one that comes with the shorts. The pocket set up works perfect for me. They are indestructible and comfortable. I have looked at a lot of shorts but these are obviously made to ride in by folks that ride. Even though they are totally functional, they also look good. If you need brand status, you can hold your head high wearing Yeti. The name says that you are cutting edge cool, if that sort of thing means anything to you. Most of the other shorts on the market are mostly fashion and very little if any functionality. I could go on and on but just buy em you will be pleased.

Great shorts but run small

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great shorts. Built to last, attention to detail throughout, designed with a rider in mind. Only problem is they run small. I got the Medium (32) and they are very tight on the waist. I wear a 32 in everything and usually wear a belt to keep things snug. I can hardly get the snap buttons in the front snapped on these 32's. Other than that, highly recommend. I've read on other sites and reviews that other people are having the same sizing issue...
