Compared to the Norrie Women's Short, the Yeti Cycles Caddoa is a lighter alternative that's aimed to please the rider who prefers remote singletrack over a crowded shuttle run. Key to this is the Caddoa's lightweight fabric that's focused on breathability in order to keep you cool on summer rides.

Yeti constructed the Caddoa shorts from a highly breathable and moisture-wicking stretch polyester fabric. This means that you're guaranteed a complete freedom of movement while in the saddle, as well as a consistently dry and soft level of comfort. Adding to this concept are pre-articulated panels along the legs. In other words, the shorts have been engineered to move with your pedal stroke, not against it. Additionally, the seamless, gusseted crotch increases the shorts' durability at a common point of abrasion with the saddle.

For an excellent fit at the waist, you'll find Yeti's new Shok-N-Lok waist adjustment. This lets you quickly and easily adjust the waistband on-the-fly. So, there's no need to dismount and adjust, leaving you to enjoy the ride without any needless interruptions. Furthering improving upon the fit of the shorts, Yeti designed the Caddoa with a relatively short inseam, and a completely women's-specific seam pattern.

Like all Yeti shorts, the Caddoa is compatible with the Yeti Ruby Liner, which features an Italian-made chamois. Along with a key pocket, there are two hand pockets with hidden zip closures for storing essentials.

The Yeti Cycles Caddoa Women's Shorts are available in four sizes from X-Small to Large and in the colors Grey and Black. Please note that Yeti bases its sizing off of the waist. So, a X-Small equates to a size 0-2, Small is a 4-6, Medium is a 8-10, and Large is a 12-14.

Great Shorts.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

Although I read the reviews that indicated that this item ran large, I personally found that the shorts ran a bit on the small side. I started with a small (based off of the sizing chart) and ended up with a medium. Overall these shorts have been great this summer. They are light weight, breathable, and very comfortable. These have also held up in a few tumbles.

Sleek Shorts, Run Small!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Small

These do fit small! I normally wear about a size 6 and carry the majority of my weight in my lower half. The Yeti size chart recommends a small, but I should have listened to the fellow reviewers and sized up to a medium!

Other than the sizing, these shorts have a sleek, feminine look. I purchased the storm color and they are a little darker than pictured, in my opinion better than the photo on-site.

Some great features:
-Waist adjustments
-Gusseted crotch
-Deep, mesh, zip pockets
-Breathable liner

Re-ordering in a medium and can't wait!

Awesome Shorts!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These are my first pair of bike shorts and I love them so far! They look cute on and aren't super long and baggy like most bike shorts. Lightweight and comfortable - I think they fit pretty true to size. I wear a 26/0-2 and the small fit perfect.

I paired them with the Pearl Izumi liners.

Unanswered Question

The Storm-color Caddoa shorts look to be constructed differently from the Black option; unlike the Black shorts, do the Storm shorts really have no belt loops, and no seams on the front just above the leg openings? Is the fit of the Storm-color shorts the same as the Black Caddoa shorts?

Great Shorts

  • Fit: Runs large

I bought these for my fiance and she loves them. They do run large as others have noted. She is 5'1" and 105 lbs and she wears the XS.
I would also recommend buying the Yeti liner (sold separately). It is really nice, and very lightweight compared to other mountain bike liners.

Nice shorts...just not for me.

Loved the color, but the fit was completely off. I ordered a size up based on the reviews, and the shorts hung off me, even using the internal waist adjustment.

Yeti Shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really wanted to love these. On paper, I love these. Upon actually wearing them, not so much. I ordered a size up because of other reviews, and thank goodness I did. I wore them over my Izumi chamois shorts. Still it was tight in some places and loose in others. I have pretty muscular thighs. These were not flattering at all on. Maybe it's just my body type. I returned them and am still on the search for the perfect biking shorts.

In most pants I wear around a size 8. I ordered these in a large d/t other reviews, and with me planning on wearing chamois shorts underneath. They still fit awkwardly. Its a shame, they are so cute!

Great MTB shorts. LOVE that they're super light weight and airy, and LOVE the length...not a big fan of the super long bike shorts out there...they tend to feel like you're wearing dude shorts. I also like that you can choose your own chamois/liner, allowing you to pick one that actually fits your body/build. Some of the shorts with the sewn in liner tend to ride funny and bunch up in all the wrong places...uncomfortable. As stated ad nauseum, they do run small...order a size up!

The Best Shorts I have found.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

Similar to the review I left for the women's Yeti Norrie short, they are simple in design, seem to be really well made, come in nice colors (both of which I really like and wear), and I like the idea of them being women's specific.

As I am sure most other women's mountain bikers can relate to, it can be really difficult to find women's mountain biking gear. Yay Yeti, thank you for having some cute women's pieces!

I warned that the Norrie shorts ran small, I am going to say that I still sized up to a medium in the Caddoa shorts too even though they fit much better! Unlike the Norrie short, these seem to fit much better in the leg and to be actually designed to fit lady riders who have quads/butts.

That being said, the fabric itself is a bit lighter/breezier and the length of the short is well, shorter in comparison to the Norrie short which has a longer narrower leg with a tougher fabric.

The Best Shorts I have found.

Favorite short!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am petitie and was very exciting to find a pair of mt bike shorts that actually fit well and looked flattering. The material is light and breathable, but strong enough to have survived some lovely crashes without any rips or tears. My favorite by far!

Not the most exciting picture, but shows the fit of the short. This is last years color. I have the storm from this year and they fit the same.

Favorite short!

You seem to be about the same size as me (I'm 5'1, 115 lbs) and I noticed everyone else said order a size up because these run small, but according the size chart I would be an xs, same as you. Just wondering how these fit you? Are they tight at all, are you able to wear liner shorts under them, do you recommend going up a size? Thanks!

Hi Meg, You probably already made a decision, but.... I wear a liner underneath and they fit perfect. I tried on the S and it was just a little to loose. I would definitely go with XS.

This may be a silly question, but do these come with a chamois pad or not? It seems like not, but just checking. Thanks.

Not a silly question! These are compatible with Yeti's Ruby Liner Shorts (chamois), but they are sold separately! You could also really pair these with whatever chamois you want, not just the Yeti Ruby.

so far, I really like them

  • Fit: True to size

I bought the medium. I'm a bit thick waisted, 135lbs, 5'5", so I like the looser waist on these. They are a very light and stretchy material-very different than the Norrie (I own those too). Due to this, the fit is a bit more forgiving than the Norrie. I have yet to ride in them, but I can't wait.

Thumbs Up!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These shorts are a great fit, especially for a shorter girl (like me)! They are comfortable and very light weight, the perfect mountain bike shorts. I did order them a size larger than I would normal shorts, per the other reviews and was so relieved when they arrived and fit just right!

Comfiest shorts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this shorts after a friend recommended them and they are incredibly comfy! I've been a spandex fan for awhile, primarily because most the women's baggies were either stupidly tight on my thighs (what, you think girls who mtb don't have quads?) or are so ridiculously huge they aren't even flattering. I found these shorts to be a great combination; they're soft, stretchy and comfy while still looking as attractive as a chamois will allow. Yeti for the win!

Too small

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

These shorts are excellent quality, Perfect length, and super cute however they didn't fit. I normally wear size 8 and i got the mediums which are 8/10. I found they were too tight in the hips and butt. Bummed me out because these are a nice pair of shorts.

Best Shorts.

Best mountain bike short for women that I have found. I have thighs

and these shorts cut a flattering fit and are super comfortable.

Ready for trail and post trail beer on the deck.

    Nice and comfortable

I just absolutely love these shorts. In fact, I have them in both colors. I am picky about the fit of my mountain bike short . They are comfortable, functional, and look good at the same time. These shorts weren't overly baggy and I didn't feel like the bottom would get caught on my seat. I did find that the shorts are highly breathable and I liked the length. The caddoa shorts are a looser fit then the Norrie (I own both shorts).
