Get out and stay out.
When you need to get away—and quickly—grab the Yeti AS-R 5 Enduro with a Fox F140 fork, and hit the gas. With XC speed, thanks to the proven ASR suspension, a bob-fighting Fox RP23 rear shock, and a light, flex-free chassis, the AS-R 5 gets you down the trail quickly and efficiently. Not every trail is a buttery, groomed cross-country ribbon—when the going gets rough, the AS-R 5's extra travel and confident handling provide the composure needed to blast through the nasty.
- Carbon rear triangle keeps unsprung weight low for superior suspension action while also keeping complete bike weight as low as possible
- A stiff hydro-formed main triangle with a tapered headtube adds chassis rigidity for accurate handling
- A mix of SRAM X7 and X9 drivetrain components provide performance without hitting the wallet too hard
- Fast-engaging DT Swiss M1900 wheelset features conventional spokes and easy-to-service hub for less down time and more trail time
What community has to say
I've have had my ASR5 for almost 4 months now and I'm absolutely loving the bike. It’s almost scary how much confidence this bike can give you. It has a much stiffer mid stroke to the rear suspension allowing you to carve turns and hit things that you probably shouldn't on a 5" bike.
What to not like about the bike-
The enduro kit is lack luster. I know it’s not a fault of the "bike" but it make the experiences just a little less.....Fun. The wheels are not bad, stiff but crazy heavy for this style bike and they don't utilize the 12mm dropout. The stem and handlebar setup are also heavy and that I'm ok with at this price point but they are flexy. The brakes are so/so but I have had to bleed them twice so far. The drive train is fine. It should be said that this was my first SRAM drivetrain and it will be my last.
All these things are minor wheel are just heavy and replacing the stem and handlebars is cheap. The core bike is amazing the fork is top notch and the rear setup is as solid. Just add a dropper seatpost on this baby and shred.
Out in San Francisco for its first ride.
