Description

You just ran out of excuses.

WTB has fully embraced the idea of big wheels, evidenced by their astounding collection of rubber available in the 29" size. The Wolverine, a neo-classic cross country tire is but one of the new offerings. If bigger is better, then the Wolverine 29 Race tire is meaner than ever, ready to devour trails and keep you ripping.

The angular, staggered knobs are sure to bite when you want them to. The center knobs have a lower profile for reduced tread squirm when you're upright and monster-truckin’ along at speed. This ensures a fast-rolling tire. When conditions get dicey and you lay the tire over into a loose corner, the progressively taller transition and shoulder knobs dig in, getting you around the bend without fail. The Race designation speaks of the lightweight 60tpi casing. The DNA tread rubber has a 60a durometer to keep you stuck to the trail.

The WTB Wolverine 29 Race tire is ideal for most conditions -- everything from hardpack to loose and dry to moist, but it doesn't have a taste for mud. It's available in 29 x 2.2". Its GMS dimension is 54/52. It is a folding tire with an aramid bead. 650 grams.

29er with Tires

Really like these tires. I was worried about the Amid bead being thinner, smaller than the tire I was replacing., but the tire went on smoothly and
taking all the abuse I'm dishing out. I use these as an all around tire commuting to work on the single speed, Then hitting the trails later in the
day. On the road I can tell I'm rolling faster, on the trail they bite pretty well,
but I also have some spin outs. But that's me on a single speed going up on steep loose gravel. Love the tires and I would buy them again.
