Mustache sold separately.

Aside from being the proud owner of one of the most impressive mustaches in all of cycling, Mark Weir knows more than most people about riding mountain bikes really fast, and, more importantly, the tires that are necessary to make that happen. So, it should come as no surprise that his signature WTB Weirwolf TCS 29-inch Tire has the tenacious grip that you need to haul the mail down steep, loose trails.

The heart of the Weirwolf is its progressive tread design. Think of it as a more aggressive version of the all conditions Wolverine, and you'll start to get the picture. At the center line of the tire, you'll find ramped center knobs that minimize rolling resistance, thereby preserving speed. The large side knobs are staggered and open, which allows the working edges to dig into the dirt in order to provide a predictable cornering grip in loose conditions. And with this being the TCS version, it gets a dual-compound tread pattern, with softer side knobs that bite hard, and stiffer center knobs that enhance the life and rolling speed.

WTB has a history as one of the pioneers of tubeless tires, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the TCS casing takes the best parts of the UST tire standard, namely the strong Aramid bead and reinforced sidewalls. Meanwhile, the 60 TPI casing provides a responsive and smooth ride quality, while also aiding the Weirwolf's adamant resistance to flats. The result is a tire that comes in around 750 grams, only with the support and durability of a heavier tire.

The WTB Weirwolf TCS 29-inch Tire is available in the color Black and with a 2.3-inch width.
