Wilier Cento1 / Campagnolo Chorus 11 Complete Bike - 2012 $0.00
You deserve the best
We realize that the tagline of a 'well-rounded frame' is grossly overused and underwhelming. However, not every bike carries the palmares of the Wilier Cento1/Campagnolo Chorus 11 Complete Bike. Wilier purposefully designed the Cento1 to be the ultimate all-rounder, and perhaps that's why it's carried cyclists like Cunego and Ballan first over the line in the World Championships and on numerous Grand Tour stages.
Little has been changed on the Cento1 (Chen-toe-uno) since Alessandro Ballan won the 2008 World Championships on his Cento1, and that's because Wilier got it right the first time. The Cento1 is the most balanced frameset in the world. The tight-wheel base geometry is coupled with a comfort-inducing, oversized head tube. The head tube's height acts as the stabilizer to an otherwise over-excited frame geometry. This juxtaposition creates a bike that remains comfortable over the long haul, but drops the hammer in the quick moments of an attack. In other words, the Cento1 is designed for the working professional -- conserve for a 100+ miles, and then bolt with 1k to go. The frame balance is further accentuated by the unmistakable chain and seatstays design. On the Cento1, these two sections of the frame are molded from one continuous piece of carbon fiber that exits seamlessly into the top tube. This design, along with an integrated seatpost and the oversized brake mount juncture, create a rigid rear triangle that delivers direct power transfer with minimal energy dispersion. The design also works in your favor, much as it did for Alessandro Ballan, by creating predictable stability on high velocity descents.
The Cento1 is constructed from a 1k-weave, 46t Mitsubishi high-modulus carbon fiber. The 'T' in 46t refers to ton, as in it can withstand 46 tons of pressure per square millimeter. Wilier used strong carbon fiber, because the stronger the carbon, the less Wilier had to use. Thus, Wilier was able to strike the perfect balance between strength and weight. The Cento1 also features the Wilier exclusive BB93 bottom bracket. With internally-housed bearings, BB93 is compatible with most modern cranksets, and according to Wilier testing, it's 39% stiffer than a traditional bottom bracket assembly.
As if the advancements of the Cento1 weren't enough, the Complete Bike includes an advanced component package as well. You get the epic Campagnolo Chorus 11 gruppo with a Chorus 50/34 compact crankset, 11/25 cassette, Chorus 11 ErgopowerShifters and derailleurs, and a Record 11 bottom bracket. The cockpit is comprised of an Easton EA70 stem and handlebars, a Ritchey WCS headset, and Arundel cork handlebar tape. You also get a Selle Italia SL Kit Carbonio Saddle, Ritchey WCS Mast Topper, and the impressive Reynolds Solitude clincher wheelset cased in Schwalbe Lugano tires.
The Wilier Cento1/Campagnolo Chorus 11 Complete Bike is available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large and in the colors Matte Black and White.
