The speed you need.

Rolling resistance, especially on hard-packed dirt, can be a big deal. Even if you aren’t a speed freak, more resistance makes you work harder to get where you’re going, burning up energy and making it harder to keep up with your buddies or drop your competitors. The Vittoria Peyote 27.5in Tires are designed to be speedy on hard surfaces, with low-profile center lugs and ramped leading-edge knobs that corner well without interfering with rolling speed.

Tread is important, but it doesn't tell the whole story. The casing, which gives your tire its structure and helps prevent cuts and blowouts, is equally important. The Peyote's TNT casing is made from 120 TPI cloth, which gives the tire a supple feel and plenty of durability, so you can ride hard and still feel the terrain under your tires without worrying about blowouts. Vittoria also reinforced the Peyote's sidewalls with nylon in order to minimize cuts and pinch flats when you're riding at low pressure, so you can take full advantage of the tubes-no-tubes (TNT) bead to run the tires as tubeless or clinchers.

Need a dry tire? This is the one.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The spread out knobs allow the Peyote to get lots of grip in dry conditions. Specifically in loose/ dusty conditions are where I feel like this tire performs best. The Mezcal is usually my go-to tire, but when conditions get very dusty and loose, you can bet that I'll be switching to the Peyote.
