A favorite of racers and enthusiasts everywhere, the new Vittoria Diamante Pro Light III continues the evolution of its predecessor. For nearly tubular-like ride quality, the company's Open Corsa CX Clincher is the way to go, but if you're after raw speed, grip, and feathery weight, the Diamante just might be calling your name.

The Diamante Pro Light III carries over with many of the same features that make the II so popular, like its 220 TPI casing for a smooth ride, 160 PSI pressure capacity, and the PRB 2.0 strip beneath the primary tread for puncture resistance. The big change for version III, however, is the implementation of the new IsoGrip compound, being slightly softer than the compound found on the II, for greater cornering speed and wet-weather grip without greater rolling resistance. The III maintains the II's extremely low 170g weight per tire, as well. The slick tread pattern and high-PSI-ready casing is still optimized for smooth roads, so if it's going to get rough, we'd recommend rolling on a set of the company's Open Corsa CX III tires, or to save some cash, try the Rubino Pros.

The Vittoria Diamante Pro Light III tire comes in the color Black and in two sizes: 700c x 23mm and 700c x 25mm.

Light and grippy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are race focused tires. They won't last long but are light and very grippy. Have raced them in crits but they can get chewed up on rough roads.
