Better than you expect.

Leave it to the Italians to design a cross tire that even the pros will drop to their knees and give homage to. The Cross XM Pro Tire is a mud-barreling, pavement-gripping piece of art that parts loose surfaces like a robed man of God. Widely spaced knobs allow optimum mud shedding while providing unparalleled grip during acceleration, braking and cornering. Vittoria's new tread pattern and PRB 2.0 protection belt ensure the Cross Clinchers deliver incredibly low rolling resistance, superlative comfort and stability, as well as all around grip that will help you pedal through the chop past your arch rival.

  • 150 TPI is a cross-specific balanced weight-to-flexibility tread-per-inch ratio with low rolling resistance and great value
  • PRB (Puncture Resistant Belting) improves chances of preventing flats

Nice low-profile cross tire

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was a little worried this wouldn't grip well in the mud-snow mix we had at the race last weekend, but it did quite well on everything from mud to grass to sand. I mounted them on a set of Velocity Dyad rims, which spread the tread out a bit more and offered a really nice ride.
