Velocio is fast becoming a favorite label around the Competitive office, and the Zero Jacket is prime example why. We're suckers for style, and the Zero has it in droves. Clean lines, subtle color choices, and a splash of flair with its signature color at the right cuff and collar. We also love kit that's functional, and the Zero's Softshell armor, Super Roubaix insulation, and race-layering fit mean it's a winner here, too. Spring is coming; don't be caught unprepared.
The Zero uses Velocio's own recipe for Softshell material on the front, back, shoulders, arms, and up the tall collar. This stuff is windproof and water-resistant, so it's equal to virtually any winter conditions up to the point where you'll be forced to take shelter under an awning until the storm dies down.
This tough membrane creates a barrier between the elements and your body's microclimate, which the microfiber fleece interior keeps well-insulated. The underarms and sides of the jacket are made from Super Roubaix, so they also insulate but are highly breathable to help regulate your microclimate in case you overheat during a hard effort.
The Zero is cut with a racer in mind. There's no extra material to flap about in the breeze, though it does allow for layering when conditions warrant it. The front has two hand pockets and an internal flap that runs the length of the two-way zipper. The back of the jacket features a strap for attaching an extra light and two vertical zippers that allow access to pockets in a base layer or jersey underneath. Reflective elements throughout help keep you visible in low-light conditions.
