Great, but wont last....

I Love this lid, but after 6 months of rigorous use it is starting to come apart and the visor thats supposed indestructible snapped in half about 3 months in. It seems lighter than my TLD and breathes better and you can hear way beyond expectation. Takes some good hits too!

Bought the L/XL Size and I have to say that it's a tighter fit from my previous helmet, which is a 661 Evolution Carbon size Large. Was expecting it to be about the same fit from that. But it's still a good looking helmet and built is awesome!

So close

It turns out I have more of a Giro head. While my head circumference was within Urge's size range my head was longer than their form. On the up side the helmet looks very well made and was light. The included bag was a nice touch as well.

i have almost an 8" melon, is there any way a M/L will fit? I wear an XL in bell and giro.

Hey Ryan,
I'm right there with ya man...Unfortunately that M/L really wont fit you comfortably. I'm sure you can get it on, but you won't be happy about it.

Riding with Urge Down-o-matic

The comfort of the helmet is good and I might even say it’s great, but it isn’t plush. Knowing that this helmet was designed and tested by pro-racers, this is a matter of performance. Think of it as the race car, what goes on or in has to serve a purpose of getting more performance. Comfort can be derived from weight savings, your neck and shoulder muscles aren’t as fatigued. It can also be attained in ventilation, this helmet rides cool and if you hike a bike in some sections like I do, you can keep it on. That being said, after a few rides, the padding has contoured to my melon and feels about as natural as a full face can feel.

I've heard mixed emotions on the helmet, Fits well, breathes even better, BUT anyone having problems fitting goggles into the opening?? I heard they opening is kinda small for larger goggles. I have a pair of Oakley MX goggles..... anyone??? thank you

I don't have Oakley MX goggles, but have a pair of Zeal Dominators (ski goggles) and they fit fine. Goggle fit is only slightly tighter (width-wise) compared to Fox and 661. Does that help?

depends on the size of the helmet. Only the S/M helmet is limited. Oakley, Smith, will not fit. the 2 I know of are Vonzipper Sizzle MX and Spy Optic Alloy. Or try mtn bike specific goggles... addidas is a smaller frame. MX goggles tend to be on the larger size.

So far so good

I've only had this thing for about 5 days of riding, but I'm quite happy with it so far.

I'd been torn between a D2 and the Urge. The S/XS D2 was just a little too tight, and the M/L was too big.

I've fitted the Urge with the all the smallest fit kit pads and the fit is really good, and comfortable.

My one gripe is that the pads move around more than they have on any other helmets I've had (Remedy, Rampage)

I personally like the look of this helmet, but get plenty of ribbing from my riding buddies asking "where we're going diving".

I have the L/XL and I agree 100% the pads move around inside the helmet. After breaking in the helmet and knocking down the foam a little in the back with my thumb i was able to put the the thicker pads in and it's a little better. Also the rubber O rings fall out really easily but I emailed the distributor ( in Co.?) and they sent me a couple in the mail right away. Otherwise , it's light, breaths well and and is priced well. My TLD SE is more comfortable though. On another note the Enduro-matic ( half helmet fits great and doesn't move around on my head at all ). Overall 3.5 outta 5 stars if it had better padding ( like TLD ) I'd give it 5 stars

Maybe if you're really patient your wish will come true, but...these are pretty dang new, pretty dang popular, and just pretty dang. I wouldn't expect to see these anywhere near our one-deal brethren this year. But what do I know?
