Urge Down-O-Matic Helmet $0.00
With huge, strategically-placed vents, removable, washable pads, and lightweight composite construction, Urge's focus in the design of the Down-O-Matic Full-Face Helmet was unmatched comfort. The soft visor won't hook anything in a crash and its unique design actually promotes airflow through the upper vents.

Great, but wont last....
I Love this lid, but after 6 months of rigorous use it is starting to come apart and the visor thats supposed indestructible snapped in half about 3 months in. It seems lighter than my TLD and breathes better and you can hear way beyond expectation. Takes some good hits too!
Bought the L/XL Size and I have to say that it's a tighter fit from my previous helmet, which is a 661 Evolution Carbon size Large. Was expecting it to be about the same fit from that. But it's still a good looking helmet and built is awesome!
It turns out I have more of a Giro head. While my head circumference was within Urge's size range my head was longer than their form. On the up side the helmet looks very well made and was light. The included bag was a nice touch as well.

i have almost an 8" melon, is there any way a M/L will fit? I wear an XL in bell and giro.
I'm right there with ya man...Unfortunately that M/L really wont fit you comfortably. I'm sure you can get it on, but you won't be happy about it.
Riding with Urge Down-o-matic
The comfort of the helmet is good and I might even say its great, but it isnt plush. Knowing that this helmet was designed and tested by pro-racers, this is a matter of performance. Think of it as the race car, what goes on or in has to serve a purpose of getting more performance. Comfort can be derived from weight savings, your neck and shoulder muscles arent as fatigued. It can also be attained in ventilation, this helmet rides cool and if you hike a bike in some sections like I do, you can keep it on. That being said, after a few rides, the padding has contoured to my melon and feels about as natural as a full face can feel.

I've heard mixed emotions on the helmet, Fits well, breathes even better, BUT anyone having problems fitting goggles into the opening?? I heard they opening is kinda small for larger goggles. I have a pair of Oakley MX goggles..... anyone??? thank you
depends on the size of the helmet. Only the S/M helmet is limited. Oakley, Smith, will not fit. the 2 I know of are Vonzipper Sizzle MX and Spy Optic Alloy. Or try mtn bike specific goggles... addidas is a smaller frame. MX goggles tend to be on the larger size.
the new urge down o matic is sick
super light, breathable, and it comes with different pad sizes to get the fit just perfect. oh yah and i looks bad ass
So far so good
I've only had this thing for about 5 days of riding, but I'm quite happy with it so far.
I'd been torn between a D2 and the Urge. The S/XS D2 was just a little too tight, and the M/L was too big.
I've fitted the Urge with the all the smallest fit kit pads and the fit is really good, and comfortable.
My one gripe is that the pads move around more than they have on any other helmets I've had (Remedy, Rampage)
I personally like the look of this helmet, but get plenty of ribbing from my riding buddies asking "where we're going diving".
ya'll gonna give this lid a run on...
ya'll gonna give this lid a run on chainlove??? PLEASE
Maybe if you're really patient your wish will come true, but...these are pretty dang new, pretty dang popular, and just pretty dang. I wouldn't expect to see these anywhere near our one-deal brethren this year. But what do I know?
Will the Green/Black Veggie Lin color...
Will the Green/Black Veggie Lin color scheme be available?
yo Eth, the linen was orig a 2012 item. So many requests they are selling some in 2011, very limited amount. I would be very surprised if huck n roll got any veggies. It's a linen fiber weave
A ton of Veggies are on the way for 2012. keep a close eye.
