Urge Activist Helmet $0.00
Save the Earth one crash at a time.
While Urge calls the Activist its 'entry-level' helmet, it's actually put more time into choosing green materials and manufacturing practices for the Activist than any other helmet in its lineup. Urge built the Activist with recycled EPS, dye instead of paint, and a nicer looking relief logo rather than a sticker.
The Activist is made, like all Urge helmets, with recycled PET straps. All packaging has the legal minimum of plastic bags and throw-away material. The box is raw, recyclable cardboard and contains no varnish.
Of course, Urge hasn't forgotten to make the Activist comfortable, good-looking, and safe. This 426 gram helmet has an integrated visor for added sun and debris protection. Front and rear vents are linked by an internal venting channel that pushes cooling air through the inside of the helmet.
The Urge Activist Helmet comes in two sizes—Small/Medium, and Large/X-Large and in three colors Green, White, and Black.

A good round-town winter helmet
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I got this helmet as a less ventilated alternative to my standard bike helmet for commuting and transportation around town in the Midwest winter. The helmet is well made and fits nicely. I really like the brim for the low hanging winter sun. The air holes do actually let in quite a bit of air, which is nice when the weather gets above 10 F, but a little chilly below that. I still wear a headsweat to keep my head warm under 20 F or so (not as warm as my snowboarding helmet which I was wearing), but overall it suits the purpose well. I also like how it does not look sporty like most other bike helmets since my Long Haul Trucker with studded snowys, and all its stability, is anything but.
