Item # TYR000N

Three race legs, one suit.

The TYR Men’s Competitor Front Zipper Tri Suit is designed to perform equally well in each discipline of your race. The Competitor’s anatomic design is based on a polyester and spandex construction—these materials combine to provide a supportive structure with four-way stretch to guarantee freedom of movement in each discipline. The blend also moves moisture away from the skin to the quick-drying surface of the fabric—keeping you dry and comfortable over the land legs of your endurance race. Coated with Teflon, the suit has the aerodynamics and hydrodynamics you need to keep your edge on the pack.

Thanks to the suit’s surface coverage area, you’ll get compressive support to add life to your muscles and benefit from a beautiful resistance to wetsuit chafing. With the minimalist Competitor AMP chamois, you’ll even get enough support for the bike leg without sacrificing comfort in your swim or run.

NOTE:  To cater to different needs and budgets, TYR engineers two triathlon lines. Competitor garments offer a compressive fit, while carbon garments offer a super compressive fit for a second-skin feel. You should select your same, standards size for both carbon and competitor garments but expect slightly different fits.
How to Measure:
For best results take measurements over your underwear, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Bend to the side and measure around the place where your waist bends, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hip.
With someone's help, run a tape measure full circle from your shoulder at the neck, over the fullest part of your chest, down through the center of your crotch and back up to the starting point.

Really disappointed

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Large

My Castelli Free ITU suit called it quits and I exchanged it for this product before my next race. I tried it on and while the fit seemed okay there was a lot of extra fabric around the stomach. The fabric itself felt cheap and left my skin feel itchy. It has two pockets, very tiny, that can hold 1 Gu each. So I really don't recommend the suit to anyone looking to do a 70.3 or longer.

I'm returning it. It just doesn't seem worth the $110. I'd rather spend a little more with better fabric/more comfortable/better pockets.
