Competitor Thin Strap Women's Tri Top

Let us pose a question to you: If you're able to achieve the same level of support as a tri top, only with a third of the material and surface area, which would you choose? We thought that you'd choose the smaller top. And not surprisingly, TYR believes this, too. Accordingly, TYR created the Competitor Thin Strap Women's Tri Top.

For the construction the Thin Strap Tri Top, TYR used two separate layers of fabric, each with their own composition. At the outer-layer, the top features a blend of polyester and spandex. Why? Well, polyester is renowned for three characteristics: support, breathability, and moisture management. For these reasons, you'll find it as the predominant fiber in any iteration of Lycra. As for the spandex, this material was implemented in order to provide a calculated level of stretch. Accordingly, the top is structurally supportive, yet conforming to the female body.

At the inner-layer of the top, TYR focused on two criteria: moisture management and softness. Along these lines, it incorporated a mesh composition consisting of nylon and spandex. So, the mesh remains soft-to-the-touch, eliminating chafing, while the nylon pulls moisture away from the skin. As a result, you remain comfortable and dry for every leg of your race, post-T1.

In terms of fit, the top has been cut high on the chest, leading to the back with thin straps. This provides ample support to the breasts, without digging into the armpits or becoming too irritating over the shoulders. At the back, you'll find that the top is shaped to fall around and between the scapulas. So, the rear structure runs just underneath the aforementioned, and curves up to meet the straps right in the upper middle of your back.
