Carbon Thin Strap Women's Tri Top

Given the undercurrent of heat during a triathlon, we commonly ask ourselves, why wear more than we have to? For this very reason, TYR created the Carbon Thin Strap Women's Tri Tank. It features the same top-tier fabrics as TYR's standard Carbon Tank, only with a minimal surface area to keep you cool and comfortable.

For the construction of Carbon Thin Strap Tri Tank, TYR pulled out all of the stops. Starting with the bulk of the composition, TYR incorporated a blend of nylon and spandex. Why these materials? Well, it all comes down to three key components: moisture management, comfort, and stretch. The nylon fibers of the fabric lend themselves to first two of these characteristics, as the material is lightweight and soft-to-the-touch. Accordingly, it pulls moisture away from the skin to the quick-drying surface of the material. As a result, you not only benefit from a dry, protective layer, but your skin also remains dry and free from moisture-induced chafing. Meanwhile, the spandex provides a four-way stretch to the material, enabling a complete freedom of movement within the top. Additionally, this allowed stretch enables the material to follow your diverse movements, preventing the top from resisting them. So, friction is nearly eliminated, bolstering the overall comfort of the top.

And knowing that the resulting lightweight material would be prone snags and wear, TYR also treated the fabric with Teflon. As a result, durability is increased, and as an added benefit, the top's aero- and hydrodynamics are also amplified. In addition to the aforementioned, TYR also included dedicated mesh inserts in order to increase stretch, ventilation, and moisture management. These panels have been constructed from a blend of nylon, polyester, Lycra, and carbon mesh. And while you're most likely familiar with the first three fibers, you're probably wondering, why carbon? Well, this material possesses natural anti-static properties that decrease the effects of atmospheric electrical interference, but it is also a major combatant of moisture. Additionally, carbon is also naturally antimicrobial. So, with all components combined, this fabric maintains a consistent thermo-regulation, while also keeping dry, comfortable, and free from rancorous odors.

In terms of fit, TYR cut this top with racing in mind. Accordingly, it possesses a next-to-skin fit that free from any wind flapping. The top has been cut high on the chest, leading to the back with thin straps. This provides ample support to the breasts, without digging into the armpits or becoming too poignant over the shoulders. At the back, you'll find that the top is shaped to fall around and between the scapulas. So, the rear structure runs just underneath the aforementioned, and curves up to meet the straps right in the upper middle of your back.
