Get that custom fit.

Most gear can't be customized, but most gear isn't the Troy Lee Designs' Skyline Shorts. The Skyline can be custom fit to exact specifications, with waist and hip height adjustments that let you set them up just the way you want. This lets you avoid interference issues with armor, or prevent irritation if the hem is rubbing against the back of your leg. The Skyline's main body is made with a two-way stretch, lightweight, and breathable polyester and spandex blend, so it won't bind as you contort around the bike nor shred when you lay your ride down leaning into a corner. The fabric also wicks moisture away and lets skin breathe to regulate temperature. A large stretch panel at the back gives even more freedom of movement, and pockets are located on the sides of the legs so you can't feel the contents when pedaling.

  • Two-way stretch (92% polyester, 8% spandex)
  • Adjustable hip height, waist width
  • Hand pockets
  • Relaxed fit

Great shorts, no liner.

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I bought a pair of these shorts at a shop in St George Utah because I forgot to pack any for a week long trip. They came with a very nice snap in liner and the shorts are the most comfortable I've worn. These shorts from Backcountry are great, just no liner. They're really comfortable and move with you without being baggy.

Chamois included?

Nope. But you probably have lots of them. Just use your favorites. These shorts do come with the snap in chamois, but not from Backcountry and are about $40 more.

These shorts are awesome!

These are some cool shorts and long enough. I got a 34 and a 36 to see witch one I needed because I was unsure of the fit from the reviews. I'm 5' 11" 180 lbs and I normally wear a 34 but I feel these shorts run a little small. For me the 34 fits to tight around the thighs and the 36 has a more relaxed fit that I prefer (I just have to use the waist adjuster) so definitely go one size bigger if you don't like it too tight.

    Best Shorts I Have

Great shorts. Breathable, comfortable, etc. Fit is true. By far my favorite riding short.

    Oooooooh!

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit:True to size

I have to admit, they are not what I thought they were going to be...in a good way! They are longer than I'm used to getting out of MTB specific shorts and although a little thicker, still breath very well! Other reviewers state that the older ones were better...but these ones seem great to me.

    Reduced quality

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size

The previous years of these shorts were absolutely awesome, so I was stoked when my wife bought me these for my birthday. But they have been cheapened up a bit, and while still good shorts, they're not as high quality as before. I'd get on eBay and look for the old ones.

    Great fit

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

These short don't come with a liner which was fine with me, I have plenty. They fit great, a little snug in the crotch but I like it because it doesn't get caught on my seat when I'm shifting my weight back and forth. The waist was just as loose as it needed to be.

The shorts fit great and look awesome.

    Comfy and solid

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:Runs small

Have had these shorts for about 3 weeks now. They fit a bit on the small size, but I knew that getting them (other reviews). I like the length on them and the deep pockets. Would be nice if they had a velcro pocket or something for extra security. Other reviews mentioned the snap button system as coming undone sometimes, but I haven't had any issues with that. Overall they're great. I wear a light pair of Pearl Izumi Liner shorts, which work great with these.

    Fresh and Functional

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

I recently picked these shorts up and I must admit I love them! The shorts have the right amount of stretch so they don't get caught up while you are riding. The fabric also breaths exceptionally well.

I normally wear a size 34 and the 34 in these fits me perfectly. The waist has adjustment so you can snug them up if needed, or loosen them if you ate too much the night before your ride. The length is also spot on, not too long, not short.

I am a fan of Troy Lee moto gear and now I am converted to their biking gear. Troy Lee just knows how to make gear that functions and fits well. Buy these and you won't regret it.
