Bring the Ruckus.

Troy Lee Designs' focus on riders' needs doesn't end with burly full-faces and DH pads. The Men's Ruckus Shorts will be your first option when gearing up for an enduro, downhill, or even cross-country ride. The shell is constructed out of a lightweight, two-way stretch polyester, with a large stretch panel at the back for excellent freedom of movement and a fully adjustable waist for the perfect riding fit.

For added cooling, hidden-zip thigh vents will let air flow to cool your undercarriage on scorching desert rides. Like the wide and comfortable waist adjusters, Troy Lee Designs placed the Ruckus' pockets to the side, facilitating pedaling without contents jabbing or bouncing around, and included a removable chamois to help prevent discomfort on long or rough rides.

Light Weight Shorts

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Height: 5' 11"
    Weight: 210 lbs
    Size Purchased: 38

The design of the shorts is way better than last year's Ruckus but the material quality and thickness is def less. The liner is pretty good but also comes with butt-pads (a boon for some, an annoyance for others). These are good shorts if you need something slightly more protective than XC shorts but don't expect these guys to be protective if you eat it in enduro or DH.

Also TLD runs small.. Hella small... I wear a 34 with just about everybody else and have to get 38s with TLD.

Made to bomb downhill!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Height: 5' 5"
    Weight: 150 lbs
    Size Purchased: 32

The ruckus is a little on the too baggy side, but not to make it uncomfortable, if you climb only to be able to bomb down hill this is perfect, great with pads. The pockets are a little awkward to me, specially the media pocket at the back of the leg, doesn't make much sense to me, so I don't really use pockets. The inner thigh vents are awesome and will keep your legs cool during long climbs.

Liner is probably one of the best I've used in terms of comfort, I like they don't have that anti slip thing close to the knees which I hate and are present in most of the liners! Haven't had any durability issues with the liner so far!

Will be trying the Ace shorts next, I believe the slimmer fit will be a little better for long rides. And will keep the ruckus for park/lift served rides when using pads!

Camo that you can see!

These are some of the best fitting bike shorts I've ever worn love the pockets and functionality of them, my only complaint is that the liner has already ripped on me and I've only been riding in these for a week other than that I love these shorts!
