Dialed.

This may be the last pair of shorts you'll ever need to buy. Troy Lee Designs fashions the Men's Moto Shorts with super-tough 600-denier polyester, so they'll be here long after we're gone and our society is in ruins. The cut is baggy enough to work with DH pads, but slim enough that pedaling won't be a problem. Troy Lee also adds spandex crotch and seat panels for extra mobility, a full mesh liner to help with breathability, and a ratcheting waist belt so you can get the fit exactly how you like it.

The convenient cargo pockets have plenty of room for your multi-tool and a snack, and they won't interfere with your movement or your saddle whether you're climbing or hammering downhill. Troy Lee adds hook-and-loop closure to the pockets because you have your backflip dialed and don't want your stuff spraying all over the landing. There's even a reflective detail on the back of the leg to make you more visible in traffic on the ride home.

Burly

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These shorts are burly. These are probably not the best for long pedals but work great for DH laps. They have a fairly relaxed fit but aren't overly baggy. I also like the pocket placement.

Great!

Im not into the relax fit riding shorts. I got to have room for my boys down stairs and they fit great. Not to baggy but not to tight. Most riding shorts are not long enough for me i feel. This one sits below the knee cap and feels very comfortable.

Nice and burly for DH riding

I love how thick these shorts are. They hold up well should you lay the bike down or clip a few branches here and there. I have serious issue with sizing for Troy Lee stuff and these shorts are the only ones that seem to fit how I like them to. I doubt you'd want these for anything other than resort or shuttling but maybe a day or two when it's on the colder side. FYI the black shorts in the pic are last years. The pockets on them now have welded zips like the other shorts pictured which is a nicer touch and easier to use.
