Troy Lee Designs Moto Bike Short - Men's $0.00
Ride your bike without your shorts riding you.
Don't trust your boys to just anybody who sews together a pair of shorts and says they're great for MTB. Troy Lee Designs has been doing this for years. The Men's Moto Short is built with tough, comfortable 600D polyester nylon and incorporates a mesh liner to promote airflow. Stretch spandex in the seat and crotchial regions adds mobility and comfort so you can focus on the ride without wishing your shorts would stop grabbing you.
What community has to say
Perfect for downhill, Not for XC
I love Troy Lee shorts but I would only recommend these Moto shorts for downhill riding. The material is very durable & thick & the length is long, which is a bit restrictive for pedaling. No saddle padding since these can also be used for riding Moto. Need to get more models of TLD shorts on this site
Sweet shorts! Good material and stitching, held up well during a couple of crashes. Move well during pedaling, comfy and good looking, got them in "pro white". Only minus, one of the zipper pulls broke on first use. Just used a bit of nylon to replace it. Dirt washes out well, still newish looking after 3-4 rides.
Shorts? Or life savers?
These shorts redefine durable. Crash all the time and these hold up to the worst of it. Only thing that could be improved is some ventilation, but that would detract from durability! Awesome short. Use em for lift and XC days.
Rediculously long video of me riding Jacobs Ladder and Hogs Hollow earlier this month (Boring GoPro footy) You get a good shot of the shorts whenever i'm off my bike in the video.
Best DH shorts around!
These are by far the best DH / Free ride shorts around. They fit great and hold up even better.
Plus best yet they have pockets, so you can actually carry your car keys or other small items.
I have taken some spills with these shorts and they continue to hold up. If you are looking for some downhill or freeride shorts then look no further. My only small complaint would be that they are bit long for me as I am shorter, but when wearing my kyle straits kneepads its not a problem. Highly recommended, especially for the price.
No integrated chamois
There was no integrated chamois with these shorts!
Is the mesh liner attached or removable?...
Is the mesh liner attached or removable? I'm looking for aome tough shorts to wear over 661 armored spandex shorts.
the mesh lining is attached. I use these shorts for all my MTB excursions from tail to urban. No complaints. The reflective piping really comes in handy riding in traffic areas at night.
These shorts are the bomb. really, when you're riding, you forget you're even wearing them (we all know how nice it is to be naked haha). So easy to bike in them, they follow your movement. They're not in the way. They're really pro stuff for a cheap price. awesome.
Shorts are durable, good fit and offer good protection from taking a spill. Would only recommend these for Downhill / Chair lift use as they are heavy duty and therefore get a little toasty. I have the ugly yellow ones, they were the cheapest, hey I try to let my riding do the talking and not my clothes
Liner on picture is black...
I noticed the red liner but on the shorts, all the liners look black.. any discrepancies there?
TLD Moto shorts
Got them as a Christmas gift and although I haven't worn them to ride in yet, I love the way the fit and feel. Great material; light and sturdy and the fit is awesome.
Resistant, you don't feel the hip pads, ventilated and the fabric is so firm and smooth that it never gets caught up on the saddle.
On the specs though it says that it has integrated chamois; there is no chamois
Inside out detail
Two hip pads (w/ removable Velcro)
These shorts rock!
I get a pair or two of the MOTO shorts every year. I still have my original 4 year pair still going strong. The headline color is sick in person! The shorts are durable and a little on the stiff side, but not rigid or uncomfortably stiff.
The shorts are ideal for DH and freeride. The stiffness does not lend itself to all day pedaling. No liner or Chamois included
Is the chamois/liner the removable type?
Is the chamois/liner the removable type?
There is no Chamois
Loved these DH shorts from the first time I put them on!
Great range of waistband adjustment, awesome pockets/zippers & fabric + a lot of breathablilty with the mesh inseams. Nice touch on the lightweight hip pads too.
Only downside I've seen is removing dirt/grass stains from the rear(mine are white) from sitting down & resting after some serious tough rides.
I want another pair!
These are sick
These are straight up DH shorts! XC riders these are not for you! If you jam is wearing DH pads under your shorts, these are your shorts. They come with lightweight removable hip pads, and the fabric is bomber bull-it proof. If you know TLD, you know these are great for DH.
