Performance Foot and Lower Leg Kit

Cycling can be rough on one's body, and too often our feet are not on our pamper list. The soleus region is the center of the Trigger Point Performance Therapy universe and the Performance Foot and Lower Leg Kit, starts with the soleus, which dictates your relationship with the ground, and migrates southward to encompass your tired dogs.

This kit has all the tools of the Starter Set (Foam Block, Footballer, and Massage Ball), plus a second Massage Ball, and two DVDs. Those are The Foot and Lower Leg Instructional DVD and The biomechanical Education DVD.

The starter set is for working on the soleus, calves, piriformis, pectorals, back, shoulders, and neck. Add a second Massage Ball and you can easily work all the way up and down your legs to include the plantar fascia, heel, Achilles tendon, arch, calf, shins, metatarsals, and more.

TPPT products work in two ways: first, they mimic the feel of a human hand and second, they allow you to use your body weight to apply pressure. The feel of a human hand might be one of the key's to massage; it's soft and firm at the same time -- padding covering bone. The TPPT products that contact your body have the same features, soft on the outside, firm on the inside. And the way you apply pressure is not by gripping or squeezing with your hands, but allowing your body weight to press against the TPPT items.

TPPT sees their products as both "Pre-Gen" and "Re-Gen" activities. Pre-Gen means doing a massage routine for five to seven minutes before exercising. These pre-exercise efforts are releasing, lengthening, and strengthening muscles, preparing them to perform without limit. After the workout, doing a routine again an hour after you finish, and possibly again 1.5 hours before bed is considered "Re-Gen," for restoring, relaxing, and rebuilding, and improving recovery.

The Trigger Point Performance Therapy Performance Foot and Lower Leg Kit comes with two DVD's. They're about education and inspiration; if nothing else, they are motivation. The first, their Biomechanical Education DVD is a video guide to better understanding foot and lower leg pain and how to identify causes, initiate cures, and improve overall health. The Foot and Lower Leg Instructional DVD has detailed video How-To segments demonstrating how to best utilize the tools in this kit. It also has a 20-minute "Re-Gen" class video that you can participate with.
