Tri All 3 Sports Velo Safe II Pro-Series Bike Case $0.00
Traveling with your steed is a hair-raising event. And we're not talking about the rush of the race at your destination. Getting your bike on and off the plane without it being accosted by the airport gorillas can cause major anxiety -- especially if you have a window seat and get to watch baggage handlers load your case. Tri All 3 Sports' Velo Safe II Pro-Series Bike Case is designed to handle the rigors of travel.
This case is notable primarily because it securely packs
two complete bikes. So, whether you're a triathlete who also travels
with a road bike, a roadie with a time trial and road bike, or are just a
traveling dynamic duo, you can fit it all in one. Now, we will tell you
that due to the size and weight of the case, you will pay oversize
charges on most domestic airlines. But, if you do the math, the charges
on one very large case are still a savings over two cases.
Constructed from durable polyurethane, the Velo Safe Case features two opposing front quick-release fork mounts. You'll need to remove both front and rear wheels and the pedals to fit the bikes. Set in the middle of the case is a foam block that keeps your bike from resting on the chainrings. Once the bikes are tightly in place, you simple pull the handlebars off and twist them so that they fit next to the frames. If you have a taller frame you may need to remove your seatpost, but one quick turn of a bolt and you are ready to roll. Literally. The case features four durable wheels that make rolling it through the parking lot or airport a breeze. A hand strap on the front of the case makes pulling it behind you simple -- just be sure that people you run by in the crowded airport know that you have a "long load." It should be noted that if you have an ISP, Integrated Seat Post, you may need to purchase the Velo Safe Pro-Series ISP Bike Case.
We have seen firsthand the less-than-efficient method by which security examines our bike cases. And, unfortunately many times the latches arrive opened. The latches on the Velo Safe are easy to open and close, and two long straps wrap the case so that even if one latch is not secured, the case and all its contents will be safe.
Of further note, the Tri All 3 Sports Cases are made exclusively in the US, and the raw materials are recycled so you can feel a little better about your carbon footprint.
The Tri All 3 Sports Velo Safe II Pro-Series Bike Case measures 51in wide, 32in tall, 18in wide. It weights 35 pounds. It is available in Black.

- Familiarity:I've used it several times
The problem with this bike case is that the wheels are prone to damage (good luck if this happens when when traveling to your race venue). I called the company to see if they would replace a broken caster and was instructed to go to Home Depot and buy one myself. When I explained that the company website says they guarantee everything on the case I was told that they have no control over who handles the case and therefore don't know if it was handled properly. OF course they have no control! Neither do I! That's the nature of shipping a bike. On this planet, you don't get to interview bag handlers at the airline, fedex, etc. If there's a more serious problem with the case I doubt that this company would stand behind any guarantee.
Is there enough room for the wheelsets too...
Is there enough room for the wheelsets too or are they packed separately?
I was only able to pack one front wheel with two bikes in this case. I borrowed a Tri All hard wheel case which holds 1 front and 2 rear wheels nicely. I would like to know if anyone has been able to put 4 wheels with 2 road bikes in this box.
