Xpresso 10 Pedal

Aside from a hollow titanium axle, the Xpresso 10 shares everything with Time's top-of-the-line Xpresso 12 pedal, and what differentiates it from the 8 are carbon base plates used in place of steel. This allows the 10 to comfortably weigh in below the 100g mark for significantly less money than the 12. What all these pedals share, however, are Time's extensive range of adjustments.

For fine tuning, the Xpresso 10 allows you to dial angular movement for individual preference. This means you can tighten or loosen the pedals with +/- 5 degrees of float. And not only can you widely adjust the pedal's angular float, but the Xpresso also has 2.5mm of lateral movement for an adjustable Q-factor.

Now you can set the foot's positioning inboard or outboard depending on your pedaling goals. Additionally, with TIME's Feeling Adjustment, you gain access to three angular float resistance settings. And while these attributes are great, another stand out feature is TIME's Bioposition concept. This design reduces the distance from the sole to the pedal axle for a direct and efficient power transfer through the pedal.

You'll find this concept extended through the use of an ultra-wide pedal platform of 700 square millimeters, and, as TIME claims, it's the best surface area/weight ratio ever created. Instead of traditional metal springs, the use of TIME's patented carbon Flexion blades keeps the Xpresso 10's weight at a minimum. Another defining feature of Time's Xpresso line is the iClic concept.

This concept enables the pedal to provide fast engagement without any rubbing. It automatically pre-opens the engagement mechanism so that your foot is quickly released with minimum effort. As a result of this design, the Time Xpresso 10 features a bold 15 degree release angle. The oversized composite platform aides clipping in by guiding the cleat, and its aerodynamic shape keeps drag at an absolute minimum.
