Description

Good pedals influence every ride.

The Time RXS Carbon pedals are ready for those long, false-flat slogs—or lightning-burst sprints to the line. The RXS provides a mild helping of rotational float (+/- 5 degrees), catering to roadies who want just enough movement without feeling the ‘slippery’ feel. The RSX’s composite body keeps weight minimal, and the steel spindle provides strength and reliability.

I would buy these again.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've got around 4K miles on these guys. From group rides, ITTs, DUs, centuries, and short rides.. Not one problem aside from a squeak once in a great while (might be from dryness between the cleat and pedal), but regular cleaning/lube in the right spots and a small drop or two where the cleat meets the pedal works wonders.

I'm still using the original cleats, but they'll need replacing soon.

All pedals come with new cleats. These should be no different.

I currently have the New Titan I Clic and I was sprinting today and my right Foot popped out, which cause me to pull a groin ouch.

I am thinking of downgrading to these pedals because the incident w my TITAN I clic, Also the Cleats do they squeek??

Thanks

I've never popped out of these guys. I've used them for two crit races and if something was gonna go wrong with anything it would be on a crit.
I can't say the cleats squeak.... my shoes squeak though.
Put a dab of dry lube on the metallic part of the cleat before any serious ride and after any foul-weather rides. This - in my experience - improves engagement, reduces wear, and probably reduces squeaking.

I´m not happy

My Time RXS Carbon pedals have only 1 year and 9 months. I had problems with the Adjustment of SET - Sensor Elasticity Tuner. The cylinder to get the adjustment is very unstable. Its loosed when I tried to adjust and I could not place it again because the spring is on the way. Now I have excess float.

If you don't know what you're unscrewing, you probably shouldn't be unscrewing it. I don't think a lack of understanding basic mechanics principles should be a reason to downgrade these pedals.

There are some things that shouldnt be played with unless you know what you are doing dingbat.lol

great pedals

I've have two pairs of these - both still going. A lot of mileage and they've always been good. Very strong and durable. I like the combination of a wide solid platform, and rotational and lateral float.

I'm not sure what the problem was for the previous reviewer who didn't like them. But I've only ever had the cleats pop out when I didn't *want* them to if the cleats were extremely worn out (which takes a long while, but it happens).

good combination

These pedals give the perfect combination of light-weight and power transfer. The platform is wide enough that any more would feel bulky but light enough that you don't even notice them. I ride the 'Ulteam' version with the Ti axle but for those not looking to shave every gram these are a good compromise. Time supposedly had pedal issues a few years back but even after trying to recreate those results and break these I haven't had any luck (thankfully)
