Large, but useful bike pack

I like to ride with my iphone for emergencies but I hate rearranging my seat pack and spare tire kit everytime. This additional front pack is perfectly designed for just that; it fits your phone and any other goodies you may need easy access to on your ride. Pay close attention to the dimensions, the pack was larger than I expected (which is not necessarily a problem for me, because I'm already not very aerodynamic ;)

Great accessory

I wanted more space besides my seat bag, without stuffing my jersey pockets. This fits the bill. It is kind of big, but other bags I looked at seemed pretty useless. This one actually fits stuff and closes up securely. Only the bottom strap for the stem actually fastened on my bike, so I removed the top one. I don't actually use it that much anymore, but on longer rides, its great. I like having it as an option when I need it.

Great accessory

The Timbuk2 Goody box is not 10 x 17 x 7. What is the real size? I just ordered one from you and I am trying to decide whether to send it back. Maybe I got the wrong bag. The bag I received is 7" long, 3.5" wide and 4" high.

The dimensions listed are cm, not inches, like the description says. You did get the correct bag, but BC will take it back if you don't like it, no questions asked.

does it fit iphone 5?

does it fit iphone 5?

Should fit, but may be tough to get in and out of phone sleeve. Also, the phone sleeve does not close on the top end. Probably not an issue due to the tight fit, just don't get caught in wet weather.

Great, but big

I wanted to like this so much.... quality craftsmanship 100%. It does rub your legs when sprinting. It will teach you to pedal straight, but the brushing of the knees will get to you! I tried for twenty miles and couldn't live with it. But what a quality product!

Convenient and well-made

Gave this as a gift. It replaced a seat bag, allowing for a light to be on the seatpost at all times.

High quality...not small however

I really like this bag!! It's made very well and holds everything I need during a ride. I purchased it specifically for the phone accessibility and I have to say, it's working out great!! I do wish that it were a little smaller. I think they could have made the bag narrower and shorter and still been able to accommodate the phone pouch. Maybe Timbuk2 will make a mini version someday. In the meantime, I will continue to use this bag and change it out for a smaller conventional "bento box" during triathlons when I won't be using my phone anyway.

The product description says this bag...

The product description says this bag is10x17x7" -- I realize this is wider than most top tube bags (typical is 3or4" tall x 5" long x 1.5" wide) but those dimensions are huge! 10x17x7 must include the velcro straps in the open position! Either that or I can put my laptop in it ;-)

What is the dimension of the bag only?

Thanks!

Responded on

Yeah those dimensions have to be wrong because that would make the cell phone pocket a tablet pocket haha. The dimensions I pulled from REI say it is 6.7 x 3.9 x 2.8 which sounds on par with what I saw in store.

Responded on

The big dimensions are cm, not in. No fear, it's not that enormous.

Lovin this bag!!1

I'd seen this bag before and really wanted it due to the phone pouch. The build quality is of the best I've owned in a bike bag, which I expected already from Timbuk2 and its rep. My Droid Razr is a tight squeeze but it's pretty wide so I expected this but it fits, my friend has a slightly smaller android and it slips in perfectly. The plastic touch screen window works with ease when swiping or tapping, the placement on the bike is really good for GPS navigation and seeing if you get a call, etc. It's not the cheapest bag but I like it and consider it well worth the price, my buddy was so impressed he has one on the way. Weatherproof, lifetime warranty, easily accessible while riding, if you even slightly want it get it no joke. I never do reviews, sorry if I come off as a timbuk2 saleman.

Nice but big

This is a nicely constructed and very nice bag. The bag is too wide for me; it brushed my thighs when I'm standing up hammering and I find it distracting. I could tell after the first ride with this that I needed a different one. I'm looking for one similar to this, but narrower.
