Would I be able to swing open the gate to my 2011 jeep wrangler? Does this box swing open or away enough? I have to be able to access the rear of my jeep to let my dog out on road trips.
Scott, The box will swing down far enough to open the gate part way, but definitely not all the way. It would definitely be wide enough to let the dog through. I can't recall how far open the gate needs to be to raise the glass, so if you need to open everything all the way to open a crate or similar, it likely won't work for you.

what is the interior dimensions of the Thule carrier? Will it allow for a airline approved carryon Pullman size luggage stand up inside and still close?
50.5 x 24.3 x 23.5 in
It might be a tight fit, as most carry on size bags are 14x9x22 inches. I would suggest trying it out in a local store if you can.

Does the Thule Transporter Combination Hitch Cargo Carrier come with the tilting hitch attachment (the part that slides into the vehicle hitch)? It is not displayed in the photo and I have seen dealers that sell it with and without that part. Thanks for your assistance.
It should, but confirm with the gear experts by using the chat now feature in the upper right corner. This thing gets good reviews too, so nice choice.
