Easy to install and very secure

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I spend months doing research on the best car rack for my bike and something which is reliable. Installation was easy and make sure you get the right one for you car so it fit nicely on the door. No issue with door close or door rubber. I bought the Thule One Key separately. I am impressed that once installed, after many years, it is still secure and you don't have to re-tighten but I checked them every year.

easy peasy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The thule system was super easy to put together. I highly recommend the Thule Traverse Kit... I was able to do it and it didn't take forever! Each part goes together really well and easy peasy... It does take a bit to get it onto the car. I took extra time and went slow, kept measuring to be precise... You'll know when it's right when it works!

Secure and high-quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The setup took a little while to get just right but once they are on, they feel very secure, especially if you use the lock cylinders. Looks clean, locks onto my car's roof and holds whatever I put on them. Another great product from Thule

If you have a short roof, the 487 SRA helps widen the bar spread and adds stability for heavier items. Works great!

On Thule.com they have a fit guide for almost every car. They show you what options you have and things that are required for you to buy specifically for your car to have the perfect fit.

like these things!

I've been a long time Thule fan, never have had any sort of issue with them, and have been a user of the old Aero Feet, and then when l bought my new car, I had to upgrade to this never system! Holy Moley so much easier to install and adjust, and a nice and clean design that can't be beat! I love it, and I'm sure it will last for years to come!

First ever aftermarket roof rack system I have bought. At first I was overwhelmed with how to install it but I found a video on youtube and it made it a lot easier to understand. The instructions Thule includes are not very detailed and kinda hard to understand in my opinion. Once I got the hang of it it was quite simple. The only pain is the measuring. It was a little difficult to judge the tightening tool which is supposed to tell you when its at the right tension, because I thought I had it right but the Rapid Aero cross bars looked like they were bowed in a little, so I loosened them up a little and they seemed to unbow. Now I can't wait to get my kayak stacker up there and get in the water.
