Description

Like cross bars, only quieter.

Round and square cross bars make the same amount of noise. Precisely measured, it's a lot. Thule AeroBlade Load Bars are specially designed to reduce wind noise, so your modern, aerodynamic sedan doesn't sound like a dump truck breaking the sound barrier.

  • WindDiffuser textured surface disturbs airflow more than a smooth surface which greatly reduces wind noise
  • BoxBeam aluminum extrusion creates a bar that can sustain a vertical load of over 800 lbs of force
  • Smartslide molded measurement system provides tape-measure-free foot installation
  • Swingblade end cap allows access to the t-slot for easy accessory installation

Great!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love my Thule AeroBlades. They are strong, aerodynamic, and look great! I have two pair in two different lengths, one set for my canopy and another for my truck roof. Make sure you can get the proper fit kit for your ride before you buy. They might not have a fit kit for your car if its an older model.

I just love buying here, there is such good follow up and the product are always exactly what you order! The Thule rack fits perfect, I just wished that they were able to sell and ship the ski-box to Canada unfortunately I had to purchase that locally for quit a bit more!!

These are great, very sturdy and they don't create any additional noise when they are installed. They have a nice finished appearance that makes them look like they came factory installed. Definitely get the job done!

More Aero dynamic than Thule Rapid Aero

I had the Thule Rapid Aero in my first car and then when I sold car away, I installed Thule AeroBlade. Since it is slim, it is less noisy and looks more sleek. I love it.

easy peasy and sound free!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So happy I chose the AeroBlade Load Bar... I've been in cars with other systems and it isn't quiet! I even had a set years ago (i don't remember the brand) that were so LOUD!!!
The thule system was super easy to put together. I highly recommend the Thule Traverse Kit... I was able to do it and it didn't take forever! Each part goes together really well and easy peasy... Took some time getting the mounting perfect on the car, but I take time to make it perfect! Have fun!!!

Super awesome

I can't believe how quite they are. They were also very easy to install. They feel pretty solid also and look great.

Very nice

Awesome load bars. These look way more sturdy to me than the square bars. They are very stout, and have handled everything I have put on my roof rack so far. They are very quiet, which is nice for those long car rides. Cool, sleek shape. Very happy with this purchase. If you are struggling to figure out which length you need, you can use thule's fit guide on their website, and they will tell you exactly what length you should get for your specific car model.

Versatile, quality bars

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These bars are very quiet and will hold just about anything you might want to put on them with ease. They look sleek, are well-built, and don't affect my MPG's. Works for me!

Great bars, little noise

Got these for my Honda CRV.
They were easy to install and easy to add ski/bike racks on them. Alone they make only a little amount of noise (I have a sunroof and I can drive with it open, only I have to play my music a little louder). However, with a bike rack the noise becomes such that I can't open the roof, but that is more to do with the bike rack than the bars. Instead I use them mostly in the winter with a Yakima ski rack and it works great.

Look great and are quiet

After doing a lot of research online, I anticipated more noise while driving, even with the aerodynamic nature of the Aero Blades. Since I already get a fair bit of road noise with my Jeep, I wasn't looking forward to this. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was really no difference in road noise with these. I'm not sure how much noise you get from the round or square bars, but there is no additional noise from the Aero Blades as far as I can tell and they look much nicer so I would go with them.

I have a bunch of old Thule bike and ski carriers. Will these square-bar accessories fit these aero bars?

Responded on

Thule has a large variety of adapters that allow some of their older product to mount to their new bar systems like the aeroblade and aeroblade edge
