The North Face Captain Ten Speed Jersey isn't particularly flashy, what with its solid colors and understated logos. However, the quarter-zip design, mesh vents, and 30 UPF level of protection give the Captain jersey hot-weather functionality in spades.
The North Face built the Captain Ten Speed jersey out of a polyester knit, which was chosen for its breathability and moisture wicking abilities. As the Captain jersey transports your sweat to the surface of the fabric, the added surface area of the fibers allow moisture to evaporate faster than it would on your skin. As a result, you remain dry and comfortable. Additionally, this material promotes an active airflow. And as if that weren't enough, mesh panels underneath the arms and at the back of the neck further enhance the core-cooling airflow. Add in the 30 UPF rated sun blocking fabric, and you have a jersey that'll keep your temperature in check on hot, sunny days.
The Captain jersey is built around a contoured riding cut that moves with you in the saddle, instead of bunching as you move through the trail. The 1/4-length zipper lets in an extra breeze when you need it. And there's also a zippered security pocket on the small of the back that keeps your smaller essentials exactly where you need them.
The North Face Captain Ten Speed Jersey is available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Centennial Red, Nautical Blue, and TNF Black.
