Description

Tate Labs designed the original Bar Fly as an out-in-front Garmin cycling computer mount to replace the more sensitive stock version. The Bar Fly 1.1 is the updated version of the original Bar Fly, complete with a redesigned engagement system and even lower price.

At the heart of the Bar Fly 1.1 is its new 1/8th turn technology. This positive engagement system enables cross compatibility with all Garmin Edge series cycling computers and the Garmin Forerunner 910 XT and 310 XT watches. Simply lock your Garmin in with a 1/8th turn and you're all set.

The Bar Fly 1.1 is manufactured in the USA out of Delrin, which is a stiff thermoplastic used in applications where durability is a must. With no screws to lose, and 'zero-risk of over-clamping and crushing lightweight carbon bars,' the Bar Fly 1.1 positions all of your Garmin devices directly in the center of the handlebar for a safe viewing position.

Give yourself some peace of mind knowing that your valuable cycling computer is locked in place and guarded from the roads, trails, and bumps below.

The Tate Labs Bar Fly 1.1 is available in Black and is only compatible with 31.8mm diameter handlebars.

Great upgrade from a bar/stem mount

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I have this on my road bike and it's a nice upgrade from the mount that comes with Garmins that straps on to your stem/bars. This provides a cleaner look and makes the computer easier to see. You can customize the angle and exact location of your computer. Installation is easy - just need an alan wrench to tighten up the one mounting screw. So far this has been very secure and I haven't had any issues with my computer trying to make a break for it.

Handy Dandy

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These mounts are great, and I now have them on all of my bikes. The stock Garmin mount works fine, but I don't like the look of the rubber bands on the stem and there is no angle adjustment. The Bar Fly gets the Garmin out front a bit making it easier to see and allows you to adjust the angle to best suit you.

Does this mount to aero bars?

Does this mount to aero bars?

For TT bars, you need the Tate Labs Bar Fly TT model. Otherwise, the screen will be facing left-right instead of top to bottom. Has to do with clamping to the TT extension vs. the direction of regular road bars.
