GHP stands for Green High Performance, and it's SwissStop's versatile all-condition pad for aluminum and ceramic-coated alloy rims. This is the 2nd-generation version, known as GHP 2. Due to a new pad compound, it has better stopping power, remarkable durability, and improved rim friendliness even in nasty, rainy slop. If you're an all-conditions rider, the GHP 2 is ideal for the worst weather you'll find yourself it. To better the performance over the previous Flash GHP pads, the FlashPro GHP 2 has deeper asymmetrical grooves and a more pronounced leading edge profile. The idea is to "squeegee" away more water to improve the wet weather performance and the deeper grooves help give the pads better modulation. They increased the total pad depth with more material above the wear line -- good news for those folks that often ride in gritty, "Belgian" conditions.

"FlashPro" means one thing: These are compatible with Shimano and SRAM brake pad holders. SwissStop FlashPro GHP 2 brake pads come as a full set. One order gets you 4 pads total -- enough for one bike.

Will this second gen fit my Zero Gravity Brakes?

Great replacement option for stock pads.

These replaced the stock Shimano pads I had and have done a great job, even with rims that are older and have a less-than-pristine surface. Manufacturing tolerances are good; during installation, they slipped easily (like they should) into the holders -- something that I've had problems with with other brands/brake combinations (I'm looking at you Avid).

Though part of the modulation comes from the brakes themselves, these pads have equalled, if not surpassed, that of the Shimanos. Dry stopping is excellent. Haven't had a chance to use them in the wet, yet, though expect good things as is typical from SwissStop. They are a touch softer than the stock pads, so we'll see how much longevity is affected.

All in all, a great replacement pad, if not a bit more pricey, for the Shimanos that come with your brakes. Four stars until I've had a chance to see if wet-stopping and longevity ding these pads for value.
