Winter-worthy warmth.

When the temperatures plummet and we start to see frost on our morning commutes, it makes us eager to reach into the back of our kit drawers for Sugoi's RS Zero Long Sleeve Jersey. With a tailored fit and two hardworking proprietary fabrics providing warmth without bulk, the RS Zero is a welcome addition to any kit — from the first, crisp fall climbs all the way through late winter's chilly base miles.

At the back and sides, you'll find Midzero, which is used for its excellent breathability and moisture-wicking properties. This soft medium-weight fabric features a brushed inner layer that pulls moisture away from the skin, creating a warm and dry micro-climate, while the outer-layer has a stronger, abrasion-resistant face. It also provides full-motion stretch without adding bulk, so you're able to layer the RS Zero or wear it alone.

At the sleeves and chest, Sugoi opts for the lightweight Firewall 180 to add superior wind-resistance to the Zero RS without sacrificing breathability. A lightly brushed interior assists with thermal regulation, while a PU coating keeps the wind and light rain at bay. Additionally, Firewall 180 stretches quite well to provide an excellent range of motion while preserving a race-ready fit.

A full-zip front ensures an easy on and off and allows for on-the-fly temperature adjustments during climbs. The three rear pockets expand easily to create extra storage space for a shell, and the signature hem gripper keeps the jersey from riding up and exposing your skin to the elements. As a finishing touch, reflective elements help you stay visible on the road.

Kevin B. Ride Time 10Hrs per week

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Excellent Jersey for cooler weather cycling. The wind resistant fabric means that you don't need a vest. I ride in Northern Vermont and this should be a go to jersey for fall and early winter conditions. I liked so I bought another in Red. Sugoi products are excellent and make up a large part of my cycling kit.

True to size, warmer than expected

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XXL

I bought this expecting it to be a cover-up during crisp mornings. It's proven to be too warm for that. I can imagine this will be perfect for early spring/late fall usage here in northern Nevada.

For reference, my chest is 46", waist is 36 and the XXL fits loose enough to layer when appropriate.

Quality Product with a Wide Temp Range

I originally purchased this jersey as a go between an insulated cold weather jacket and a relatively light weight long sleeve jersey. It turns out to fits that purpose to a tee. In fact, If I had to have only one long sleeve jersey or cycling jacket this would probably be it, since it is weather resistance and is cut for underneath layering opportunities. In matador red, the red material on the front and arms features weather resistance that works well in practice against the wind and light rain. I did find the arms slightly warm (particularly wear the red material is) on the rides I've done in the high forties and low fifties, but nothing to make me think I didn't wear the right garment for such temps. Jersey really excels in the mid forty range with a short sleeve or lightweight long sleeve base layer. Paired with a water proof vest I felt prepared to go in almost any above 40 weather condition! As for fit, at 6'1 190, 41 inch chest and long arms, the large fits me great, with some room, and not too much room, for layering.

Very satisfied with this Jersey!

Excellent product; very well made and fits great. Especially like the high collar, sufficiently long sleeves and smoothly running zipper. Have worn it in the low 50s with light base layer and it was comfortable, and around 30F with sleeveless and and long sleeve baselayers and it was comfortable; in other words extremely versatile jersey!

Thumbs up ! A good reliable product made by sugoi at sale price is comfortable and affordable this make me feel satisfied with all sugoi product...a big 5 for me
